"I have always hated Nicholas Cage. He was seated next to me at this reastaurant called Spumante here in my neighborhood. He is bald."

Now, now. Let's be PC. He's not bald...he's balding. In other words, He's Trump with less money. I can't stand Nicholas Cage.

Cage was excellent in "Adaptation."

Cage can be very very good. He's not my favorite by a long shot, but he still has it

I know she got a golden globe AND she gets recognized in the things she does. BUT she might be one of my favorite actresses.
Mary Louise Parker. I want her to get an oscar!! haha

How about John C. McGinley?

Oh, wait, I'm thinking of Ted McGinley.

Gary Beach! He's hard to surpass in his comedic roles but I've also seen a glimpse of his serious side in an espisode of Arliss. He plays an evangelical sports agent -- very subtle performance ranging from menacing to good ol' boy. Would love to see him in a Coen brothers movie.

Ted McGinley is a good looking man, but not underrated.

I'm going to agree with Stockard Channing and Dinah Manoff. I've adored those two since I was very little and am always delighted to see them in random places. They're both completely underappreciated.

Parker Posey

Steve Buscmei...although that may change with his exposure from The Sopranos. He seemed to be very unknown excpet to thos ewho watch indie films

Lili Taylor...another indie actress who has done some fantastic work but was pretty much unknown until her role on Six Feet Under.

Iliana Douglas (I probably spelled her first name wrong)

I almost forgot one of my favorite actresses, Shirley MacLaine. She gets more attention these days for her sometimes offbeat new age beliefs but people tend to forget what a versatileand talented performer she is. She can do comedy, drama, sing and dance

Ruffian, have you seen Dogfight? One of Lili's earliest films. It was the first time I had ever seen her and it the start of a long standing respect for her talent on my part. I had forgotten about that movie until we brought up Lili Taylor today. I just added it to my Netflix list so I can see it again next week.

Orion, you are so right about the Wicked threads. How many questions/comments can you have about a show. When is Idina's next bowel movement?

I was always a big fan of Richard Dreyfuss and find him very underapprectiated.

Patrick Wilson is also due for recognition. He always seems to just miss an award.

Others will come to mind.

I love Illiana Douglas. She is always so good and noone knows who she is. What about Morgan Freeman? IOthink he can do anything.

And then I would have to say me as well. Sadly.

I second Steve Buscemi. He is amazing in everything he does. I love him!

Someone needs to write Donna Lynne Champlin a show. Maureen Moore needs to be performing 8 times a week. Joe Machota deserves a better role now. Kerry Butler should be the lead in Little Mermaid, Coleen Sexton needs to be be belting on Broadway again. Ruthie Henshall needs to be Velma again. Julia Murney, hello!?!?!? I'd love to see her as Elphaba, or just about anything. I'm sure there is more but I can't think.

GARY BEACH FOR SURE.
Love him and everyone was Nathan and Matthew this and that but GARY IS A STAR!
I love Gary Beach.
He is incredible in every role and he is very sweet.
Loved him in Beauty and the Beast, Producers and soon to be in La Cage.
yea Gary.
Also Michael West for his flawless acting in Forbidden Broadway.
J Tartaglia in Avenue Q For his brilliant performance and Rick Lyon for his incredible performance and clever puppets.
Stephanie D'Abruzzo is the most underappreciated actress on Broadway and I wish she would get more attention the woman is a star. Updated On: 5/13/04 at 06:09 PM
