Just a few. I'll add to this list later on.
Sarah Polley - stellar in "Go", "The Sweet Hereafter", "My Life Without Me", and "Dawn of the Dead"
Nicolas Cage - Not a fan at first, then I saw "Adaptation" and "Leaving Las Vegas". I am still eating my words.
Julianne Moore - One of the best living actresses, and she has yet to win a Golden Globe, let alone an Oscar. For this talent, I'd consider that underrated.
Helen Hunt - A lot of hatred on this board, but she was solid in "As Good as It Gets" and "What Women Want". Maybe her performance in "A Good Woman" will earn her some fans.
Hope Davis - Always good, always different.
Lindsay Lohan - Gave three unique, acclaimed performances in "The Parent Trap", "Freaky Friday", and "Mean Girls". And yet, as soon as she gets a reputation for being a party girl, she is labelled as a bad actress.
Timothy Hutton - Gave one of the greatest supporting performances in recent decades with "Ordinary People". And yet, he has not done anything recently. At least nothing to speak of.
Campbell Scott - Saw "Roger Dodger". Adored him. Saw "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle". Adored him even more.
Julia Stiles - MANY people don't like her, but she usually picks very interesting projects that aid in her developement as an actress.
Kirsten Dunst - See Julia Stiles. One of the Hollywood's best young actress. No one knows it yet.
Jared Leto - Is constantly referred to as a tween heartthrob, but he was riveting in "Requiem for a Dream" and "Prefontaine".
Holly Hunter - A beautiful, intelligent, and versatile actress. Still, no one talks about her that much.
Tom Cruise - Hey, I like him! OKAY?!
