'Unfortunate Looking'

This is my new favorite phrase. Lord knows I never want to use the dreaded term 'ugly'. That's just unkind.

'Unfortunate looking' gets the point across, but adds a dash of pity...like you might actually have a heart.

For example, my neighbor had a baby who looked like ET (in fact, fifteen years later, he still does). He's a relatively good kid. It's in situations like these where the term 'unfortunate looking' comes into play.

'Unfortunate looking'. It's the new 'bless his heart'!

We also say ugloid when not being so kind.

I go with 'mufugly' when I really want to be mean.

Now THAT would be unkind.

Especially when one can never be sure! I mean...with the proliferation of pictures of hot-ass celebs, one never knows if the person posting actually looks like said celeb or is, in reality, unfortunate looking. Hell...I'd be willing to bet that even a 'mufugly' would be appropriate in some cases.

Well...when I give my very special version of the finger, it usually puts a smile on someone's face!

And Lord knows a smile doesn't always help a mufugly or UL's cause!
