I have heard it is a great school. Just tell me what you guys think! I'm very interested in this school because I could get a B.F.A. as well as double major in business. Is the MT good? Alumni? Just any input is fabulous. Thanks!

A ton of really famous performers have come out of U of M. (Gavin Creel, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Hunter Foster, Barrett Foa, etc.) I've heard it's tough to get in to but has an excellent BFA program. Go for it!

They have a bunch of videos online of workshop performances.. might give you a better idea of the school.

UoM, CMU, and CCM are considered the "best" I think.

It's very well respected, and as a result, very difficult to get in. Academically, it is challenging enough, but as far as the BFA program goes...exactly, it's up there with CMU and CCM.

Would we say CCM is a better catch of a school than BoCo?

CCM and BoCo are VERY different schools. I would say the top 4 for musical theatre are CCM, BoCO, CMU, U Mich. But they are all so different that it really depends on visiting the school and seeing which you like best and feel most comfortable in.

For instance, BoCo is the only program out of the 4 that accepts more than 20 people in their program. I didn't want to be stuck with the same people all 4 years. I wanted a big talented class I could work with and a school in a place with a lot of culture.

I would just like to throw out that if you are getting a BFA in MT, you most likely are not going to have to time to double major. The schedule for all of those programs are grueling to say the least.
