If Disney were to make an Ursula film, how would they do it? Would she ultimately remain a villain? Who would you cast? Would it be a musical? How would you do it? I want to hear some thoughts from you.....

My thoughts:
They could use a lot of cgi and blue screen to create the underwater sea feel. In my opinion it should not look like the real Ocean, but it should look and feel nice, magical, and clear. They could cgi on the fins, tentacles, and various sea creatures (including flounder and Sebastian). To make the actors "swim" they could harness them with wires and do something with their hair to make it look like it is underwater.

In my version Ursula would still maintain her "bad guy" traits. She will still be out to get Triton by using Ariel as a pawn in her devious plan. The story would start off showing how she rose from a talented daughter of a sea-witch (who constantly overshadowed her sister Morgana)...to the caring Enchantress/Royal Advisor to King Triton. Triton starts off as a careless King who does not have his subjects' best intrest at heart. Ursula eventually starts taking over (doing what Triton should have done in the first place). Triton takes this hard, and with help from Morgana and Sebastian, he humiliates and banishes Ursula. Years go by and Ursula's heart turns to stone...she hates every mermaid and merman and stops at nothing to take control of them. For now she makes a living by tricking merfolk for their souls and turning them into polyps (hence the garden). Ursula soon realizes that her day of revenge on Triton may be near when She finds out that Ariel wants to become human . So, Ursula lures Ariel into her lair and makes a tough deal with her. *insert bargain from Little Mermaid that everyone already knows about here*. Usrula watches Ariel carefully and uses her eels (who are like family to her) to try to ruin Ariel's chances of winning over Prince Eric. Nothing works, so Ursula turns herself into Vanessa and steals Eric from Ariel. BlaBlaBla stuff everybody knows. Then Ursula finally gets Triton to give up plower of the sea to her. Ariel gets mad and murders Ursula's eel family. Ursula gets mad and grows into a giant (like in Little Mermaid) Eric kills Ursula, then "The End". I know its not a happy ending, but whatever.

My top picks for Ursula would be Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, and Bette Midler (does not have to be a heavy-set actress IMO)

No it should not be a musical IMO, but the movies theme song should be either "Poor Unfortunate Souls", or a slowed down, creepy, version of "Part of Your World"

Well that's how I would do it, how would you? (Sorry for writing so much)

Sean Hayes should play Eric. I honestly can't imagine anyone else playing that role.

I think they all need to swim around on heelys. And then they should have dinosaur tails.

I once killed a man in a bar fight in Tulsa back in 93. But they ruled it self defense so I got off. I hope that answers the OP's question.

That's actually true.

They could do a cross over with her show on whatever that channel is where she plays a big Broadway star. If that's still on.

Has "Ursula" got a release date yet?
