I have to admit I'm a little hesitant on Reese in a period piece - but I'll certainly go in with as open a mind as I can.

I look forward to this. Didn't Kate Hepurn do a version of this?

Myrna Loy did in 32. There was also Chaplin's Idle Class, an adaptation.

I can't wait to see it. Firstly, I love Reese in anything. Secondly, it looks visually orgasmic. Just beautiful. And a friend who saw a screening was raving about it, and says it's great.

The reviews were pretty mixed, but then as the reviews for most movies this year have been scathing, mixed is a good thing.

I love Reese - I think she can handle it.

She couldn't handle The Importance Of Being Earnest, but I don't think that was entirely her fault.

I saw the film last night and i thought it was very good. Reese Witherspoon put on one of her best performances i think. I love Reese! Her performance was bitter sweet and she just looks the part. She was pregnant during the film with her second son, so at parts people were confused because after she had her child in the movie she still looked pregnant obviously.
Anyway my vote goes to Reese for an award!

I'm very excited about this film. I love Reese, but The Importance of Being Ernest was just poorly cast and poorly directed. Vanity Fair looks like the perfect film for her. Could it be possible that she could top her performance in Election?

Reese is beginning to bore me. She's turning into Meg Ryan, in films like FREEWAY and ELECTION, she was a savvy surprising character actress with a remarkable technique, now she's just another cutsie blonde trading in her cuddles and quirks...I just can't buy her as an Englishwoman, sorry. Gonna skip it.

I think shes a doll. And besides how can you not love the girl who snagged Ryan Phillipe? I have to worship her just out of sheer jealousy!

I love this book so much, so I am a wee bit leary of a movie version. But movies are cheap here, so why not?

How on earth can you compare Reese Witherspoon to Meg Ryan? I take it you didn't see In The Cut?

She is wonderful in this. But the movie sort of falls apart at the end. And some of the casting is horrible. Just because alot of the women look the same and I spent half the movie trying to fugure out who is who. The movie is entertaining enough. But this wont be one of those things that goes on to awards and critical acclaim.

In the Cut was one of the WORST films I've ever seen. Meg Ryan is hit-or-miss.

Half the time in Legally Blonde, I was like, holy crap is that Kristin Chenoweth?!?

BTW, i think she did an excellent job acting like an English women.
I didnt see Election what was that? Worth renting?

I thought Election was a terifically biting black comedy - it really worked for me.
