Do people even go to video stores anymore?

3 Blockbusters around me have closed in the past year.

I still go to the stores, because I want to see whatever I choose right then. The Netflix thing doesn't work for me at all.

We have a great independent store relatively close that stocks independent, foreign, classic and -*GASP* - even has a gay section!

Thanks Phyllis I am glad someone else thought that.

What a smug little asshole. It sounds like the kid probably knows more about film than you do. You know, we all have to pay our bills and if you can find a job that you love while you pursue your dream so much the better. This kid will probably end up the next Tarantino, who, incidentally, ALSO worked in a video store.

I have a friend who once let her cleaning lady use her bathroom. Can you imagine?

When I went to video stores (I have Netflix now), I loved those cashiers. I had one at the video store and a girl at the Media Play (For music). And I would look to see if they were there when I was in because they never steered me wrong. They knew what I liked (Or may like). And they were into their jobs and seemed to enjoy them.

Flippancy, sounds like you think you are above these people.

Get Netflix. Then you won't have to "deal" with that guy or the gummy worms at the video store.
