Really Abby? I'm pretty sure you are the real child in this situation. Why don't YOU check your facts. Oh wait. I'm sorry, I forgot that if you do, you will have absolutely NOTHING to say because everything you have spouted on this thread is absolutely outrageous. You are the one posting asinine things that make little to no sense. And when you are called out on it, you spout more idiotic things.

Just wanted to share this with all of you.
This past week, we have had a few idiots running around our college with Romney stickers expressing how Obama has done nothing to save our country. One of my friends (who is pretty outspoken) went up to one and flat out asked
"Please explain to me what Romney's economic plan is..."
The look on their faces nearly killed me. They were speechless. After a few seconds of stammering over their words, one of them finally put a coherent sentences together and said "Well...what is Obama's?"
My friend proceeded to outline his overall plan. Afterwards, my friend asked "now what is Romney's?"
They were still unable to answer the question.
Now, I want to make this quite clear. I am by no means against Republicans. I am against what the party has become. It has become a party controlled by, to be blunt, morons. Look who their selection of nominee's for the Presidency were. that speaks VOLUMES. I have family members who are VERY dedicated to the GOP, but the funny thing is, none of them can bring themselves to vote for Romney. Why? Because he has been on the campaign trail for several months now...and he has YET to make a clear case of where he wants to take this country. If you watch a video from several months ago, he will say he opposes something, but in the present day, he is "for it." Its proven that he goes against his word. How anyone sane can support him is beyond me. If he is elected by some slim chance (and I do mean SLIM) then watch where we will about a year into his term.

I'm writing in Kylie Minogue. She's so fabulous, people will overlook that whole Australian thing.

I'm still confused why people, both Bailey and White Supremacist, who are clearly outnumbered and whose opinions are clearly in the minority, continue to hang out in a mostly gay (at least with the boys), and mostly theater oriented website. It makes absolutely no sense, regardless of election season or not.

It seems like a waste of their time to sway our votes, express their opinions, etc. They're looking for attention and being in an online argument feeds whatever they're missing from home, friends, school, whatever.

Abbynormal, hockeygirl, whatever your name is, please, besides spouting your insane GOP/Fox/Family fed lies and rhetoric, what else do you do on this board? I haven't seen you in any other threads. Are you here to express your Republican/I Hate Fags/Women/Minorities view or will you go back to "I love Wicked!" on Wednesday?

I really hope you grow up at some point. You obviously have strong opinions, but they're formed from your superiors and not from your own experiences.

I have checked my facts, I have given you plenty of facts but you choose not to believe them. I have a question for you now, if there are so many people with jobs and the economy is doing so well according to you, why are there more people on welfare than ever before? You can't argue with that fact. Although I'm sure you'll find a way. I would think that if as many people had jobs as you say and were doing so well that so many people wouldn't have to be on welfare, but apparently not.

And what about Solyndra? Obama's stimulus program gave them $528 million and they still declared bankruptcy. Or are you going to make an excuse for him again?

And if you actually look at my profile, which I know some of you have, you will see that I was posting on the broadway threads for the last four years when I was at school in NYC and went to shows often, which I can't do now since I live on the west coast, but I didn't just join to post on the political threads.

And if you want to see Romney's plan you can go to his website and read it for yourself and do some real research. If you can read that is, I'm not sure how much education most of you have, but hopefully some of you passed the 8th grade. He explains exactly what he's going to do and his plan is a heck of a lot better than Obama, who is going to continue to go on the same path we've been on the last four years which has done absolutely nothing.

And I'm wondering if anyone else finds this as disturbing as I do

Then does he know better not to put his logo on the flag? I don't think so, this one is from his campaign, and you can order it from his website. Are you going to tell me he's not connected to his website so it's not his fault?

You still haven't answered my question about why there are more people on welfare/food stamps now than ever before despite you saying the economy is so good. The only thing you went after was the flag, which I only posted as sort of a side note.

And if anyone is a hypocrite is you. You refuse to admit anything is wrong with obama and his policies, and his flip flops are fine because he's a democrat. I admit Romney isn't perfect either, but he's would do a much better job with the economy than obama has, since he's only made it worse.

You seem to forget that Bush did things before Obama took office that made it difficult. Whenever we bring up this FACT you and your side whine that we are blaming Bush. So, yeah there are people on food stamps but you are looking at it from a very one sided view. The economy is getting better. It took Bush and the Republicans 8 years to screw it up and you want it all fixed and better in 4.

You brought up the flag. I exposed your hypocrisy,which is not hard to do when you are dealing with a child in high school.

Obama has not made the economy worse. Even ROmney was caught on tape saying the same thing and then correcting himself. Stop pretending you are not in high school. You've been outed and it's just embarrassing.

Abby you are proving yourself a child. Please, no one is saying the economy isn't back, yet it is recovering after a major, major collapse. The fall stopped by the infusion of cash Obama poured into it, stopping it from hitting the Great Depression's bottom. Thing is, we need more. We have an infrastructure that needs major repair, it would build the job market and create jobs. WPA anyone?

Embarrassing for you maybe haha, I'm not in high school and if you had half a brain you would be able to figure that out. you people are so ignorant you can't accept the fact that someone younger than you has more education. And you can't accept that your beloved president hasn't done as much as you had hoped and maybe it's time to go a different route. And whatever happened to obama's promise that if the economy doesn't recover in three years he would be a one term president?

People who have to resort to calling people a**holes when they disagree with them really don't seem very mature to me, but I guess wherever you come from it's acceptable.

And romantico I don't mind Christie, I like what he did with teachers unions in New Jersey and think more states should do that. Teachers in my state are some of the most overpaid people and I think our governor should do the same. But I liked that he worked with Obama during the hurricane but that doesn't necessarily mean just because he handles a storm well means that he is a good president and handles everything else well.

And I wouldn't even talk about Romney correcting himself, Biden is the king of saying things he supposedly doesn't mean, even though during the debate he says he means everything he says, no matter how ridiculous it is.

Out of curiosity, which state are you in? I've never heard anyone say that teachers are overpaid. My teachers in Texas and the ones in California are severely underpaid for the time, energy, and dedication they put into their jobs. Teachers, both public and private, should be paid multimillion dollar salaries, not entertainers.

If we're dealing with facts, state your age and your college level, if any. Also, for the hell of it, what's your GPA? You know, so we can discuss facts. Because you can still go to class for four years and barely pass. That doesn't make you smart.

I live in Oregon, where the principal at my high school made $107,000 last year. Oregon is not an expensive state to live in, and my city is not an expensive city by any means. If it were in a more expensive area that might be understandable, but my city is not one of those areas. Teachers here make $60,000 or $70,000 or more here after they've taught for a certain number of years, and start at around $45,000-$50,000 plus great benefits. But again, with the median home price in my city being around $300,00, more or less, that's definitely not being underpaid. We also have one of the shortest school years in the country with barely enough school days to meet the federal requirement And a school day at my high school only lasted about 5 or 6 hours, 7 max but not 8 like most schools.

And I graduated both high school and college with honors, 3.8 in high school and 3.5 in college. I'm thinking about going to grad school if I can afford it so I won't have to take out student loans. I'm 23 by the way and graduated college in May. Not in high school.

You'd think every teacher would be living and working in Oregon with those numbers!

I looked up Oregon's numbers on Teachers salary and this is what www.teacherportal.com had to say:

Starting Salary: $46,930
Average Salary: $56,503

The OSBA said this, "Based on the data in this publication, the Oregon average salary for beginning teachers is $32,864."

I can give you those links if you want, but all you have to do is google "oregon teachers salary" and it's the first and second links, respectively.

How do you pay for rent, utilities, food, transportation, medical expenses, entertainment, clothing, insurance, etc. Oops, I forgot...Abby still lives with mommy and daddy. So much for thinking 50,000 is a HIGH salary. The more you talk, the stoopider you appear. Keep talking. I wanna know why a 23 yr old "college graduate" is still living at home, pontificating about the "welfare state". Why aren't you out sharing an apt with 3 other people, saving your pennies, being an entrepreneur ala Romney, making ends meet WITHOUT Mommie and Daddy's funds?
