Violet the Musical

Hey guys, is anyone familiar with Violet? I just discovered it and absolutely love the music. I want to find shows that sound similar to Violet since I love it so much....so I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for musicals like Violet? If you haven't heard it, go out and buy the cast recording now!

I have loved Violet for a long time, and I've always thought it's weird I like it so much because I'm usually not into that style of music, but it's SUCH a great show (and a great role!)!

I wish it was performed more often.

Ithaca College did it last year, and Otterbein did it a few years ago, also, I believe.

and parts of THE CIVIL WAR sound a lot like VIOLET, if you're looking for similar stuff.

go on youtube and search "Sutton Foster, violet" and theres a clip of her singing "On My Way"

dramatothemax -- did you know that that's actually an ensemble song and she's singing one of the harmony parts for a lot of it?

I just finished doing Violet, loved it!
If anyone has any question about it Id be more than happy to answer them...

it is such a brilliant piece of work

I saw Violet two years ago, and I LOVED it. Still do; great show.
