Matt-ewww! It all started when I was faced with that gel that forms if you eat cold chicken-YUCK!!!!! I can never eat cold chicken. Then I found out that aspic is considered haute cuisine, especially down south. I was invited to a friend's house for lunch years ago. He hadn't even started making it when we got there. Then we smoked pot. The hours were going by, we were all starved especially after the weed. He finally started serving the lunch and EVERYTHING was in aspic! He's a southern gal.

It couldn't have been Texas, could it? I grew up in Texas and never even heard of aspic until I saw it online a few years ago. Occaisonally, I saw some Jello desserts with stuff in them growing up, but salty Jello is an abomination.

I could stomach jello if I have to. I like some of those jello molds with lots of junk in it.

Aspic in any form-no.

How about that head cheese with areas of aspic in in? oy.

MisterMatt- Marble Slab is all over TX these days. It's the same basic concept as Cold Stone, but in my opinion not as good. They don't have the birthday cake flavour! Now is it true about Mr. Softee, or is that an urban myth?
