It was pure camp trash. All I could think of was Joan Crawford and Valley of The Dolls got into a car accident. Highly recomend it and I'm straight. So if a straight boy can appreciate it, it must be good.

"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer

The MJA 2005 recap post...

Heya Hiya Hoya all, everybody warm?

This past weekend was the start of the 2005 season of the Miss Junior America Show, Tampa was the location for the Florida finals, and happily it was warmer than here!

The girls were a lively bunch, full of barely contained excitement and in a few cases unfocused rage, all of them were thankfully well spoken, a trait that has been missing in the last few events.

The show went well, no real stumbles, one young lady lost her shoe during the gown segment, but handled it with grace, a few of the other girls giggled at her from backstage, but were supportive....I was hoping for outright mocking. Oh well, maybe next month in Detroit!

The judges were all talent agents flown in for the evening, I swear one was sleeping during casual wear....in closong I'll leave you with my favorite speech of the night;

"I am proud to be part of the fabric of this city, uh, I mean, country where people like our President can be guided by our Lord and shown the way to help the small people who are not right, that is my wish, small peolle being helped, Thank You for making me be here Mom and Dad and Granny, and thank YOU, Miss Junior America!"

Ahhhhh, Eddie, don't you love when they work the master of ceromonies into their answer? It brings a tear to my eye.

*pulls out the extension cord for the cattle prod...*

Hey...anyone know whether Hugh Panaro bats for your team or mine? I've heard a few different stories...and since I think YOUR team is full enough I'd like a decent sized roster on mine ("decent sized" pun intended, LOL)
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
