You never know. The industry changes to popular demand, but it's got to be palatable to the popular audience.
In 1950 (if anyone here was living then) did anyone ever imagine a Disney film about a man and prostitute falling in love?
Jump forward 40 years and there it is!

BFB, I accept your apology. Thank you for making one. Yes, my feathers were indeed ruffled. Misunderstanding my intent because of the artwork I am pointing too is fine, I'll take the blame for that, as long you accept my apology for taking your response as an attack of belittlement if that was not your intent.
In defense of the artwork though, I do enjoy erotic content when it is done for art or humor, but I also think it falls into a completely different category than pornography, which I don't think his art falls into at all.

WTF is this "Hacked by El Muhammed" thing?
EDIT : I guess this was my first successful post during the "El Muhammed" attack.
I'll delete the one below.

My first response to this thread was:
Honey, they're ALL Gay!
But since Disney is "family friendly", mass market, main-stream audiences, there will probably never be a openly gay character. Let alone a gay romance.
But it's a nice dream.

Pretty Woman was not released under the Disney brand, even though it was a Disney-owned film company.
"Disney" appears nowhere on the film.
And even though it was a fantasy, it wasn't animated. (Not so's you notice.)
Doesn't count!

Since things are settling down after BFB's blunt talk, I'll stir it up again. If you're looking to Disney cartoons for validation or to make you feel better about your orientation...well, darling you got some issues to deal with.
You've got oodles more role models and positive media representation nowadays- hell, kids even get gay-positive children's books. Us old timers grew up clinging to such dubious role models as Uncle Arthur.
Yes it would be lovely to have a positive open gay role model in a Disney cartoon. And I want a Pony.

Joe---I don't think any gays are looking to Disney cartoons to validate their orientation anymore that straight folks look to those same animated romances to validate their idealization of what falling in love should be like.
...oh, wait...
