Posted: 7/6/07 at 12:48amI'm a fan of Venus. I'm still not sure what to think about Serena. She ALWAYS seems to be hurt. You can say she is tough and fights through it, but she's is always hurt.

Posted: 7/6/07 at 5:32pmtoday's Roddick/Gasquet match was one of the best matches I've ever seen! Such amazing tennis... & I have a feeling Gasquet vs. Federer will be even higher quality, if that's even possible. And the Bartoli win... didn't see that coming. :o

Very interesting day at Wimbledon. Tomorrow should be a day of exceptional tennis. I like Venus and Federer eventhough they are machines at this point. Roddick just got tired and couldn't keep up with Gasquet. Will look for opinions here later on today.
Can't wait for the US Open

Posted: 7/7/07 at 7:56amI'm really disappointed that the two big semis being played are no where to be seen (on tv). I guess ESPN2 couldn't forgo it's BASS FISHING programs in favor of grand slam tennis action. sigh....

Amazing that, with all the rain, the finals will be played on schedule.
I'll be glued to it.
Adore Wimbledon.
And am rooting for Venus!

That's big news!
Did you see the royalty of tennis in the Royal box? What a remarkable group of absolutely amazing women!

that's too bad. Djokovic had a great run though.
I'm picking Venus too (duh!). I love that this Bartoli chick made it to the final though. I hope she's at least competitive. there hasn't been a decent women's grand slam final in a while (maybe Wimbledon 2005, when Venus saved match points against Davenport and won 9-7 in the third).

Now, they could play a bit.
This final is really the long and the short of it. Pierce Brosnan couldn't make it today. So, my pick is Venus. But, you never know. Bartoli has looked out of her depth in several matches and still managed to turned each around.

Pierce Brosnan is there!! but so is Margaret Thatcher. blech.
Bartoli I guess is similar to Monica Seles (but without the grunting). Playing with both hands on both sides always looked awkward to me.

Posted: 7/7/07 at 9:29amThey said that Brosnan wouldn't be there as he would be at a wedding. So, he must've thought that the tennis would be more rewarding than the wedding reception.

it's so amazing how focused Venus becomes as soon as she steps on Centre Court. It's like a light switch, and she's really unbeatable.
Bartoli has an interesting service motion too. What an odd player!

I was pulling for Djokovic, but he did seem to be in pain. The announcers on NBC were getting on my nerves though because one was pro-Djokovic and the other was pro-Nadal and they kept trying to convince the other that the other was better.
And I am happy for Venus, she was fierce these last few days.

Who are we all rooting for?
I loved the outfit Federer wore as he walked out on to the court. So traditional!
