WAL MART IS EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not "ever" shop there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go to http://www.wakeupwalmart.com to find out why and a whole lot more!
That is all.
Here, you can have your "S" back.
All this has been going on forever. The info has been out for a while. I just like to save a buck or two when I shop. I wish Target were cheaper.
WSal Mart?
Never heard of it.
Or should I say:
Never heard of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose tmm_fan is just venting. Although I don't think this is the best and most productive way.
Perhaps we'll get an explanation soon of what exactly happened.

If you ever have a family member killed on Walmart property, you'll find out just how terrible and greedy it really is.
Care to elaborate, tacos?

I know. I don't shop there either. I like Target, Tower and Costco, and I buy all my books from independent bookstores now.
Evenj if it costs a little more, buy from independents, you know? If you can afford it, even if it drains most of your money, do it. Trust me: you'll feel happier afterwards. I always do :).
Did you know that Wal Mart has recently cut employee healthcare again? That infuriates me to no end.

Not really. I just hope none of you ever find yourselves having to deal with Walmart in such a case. It truly is a big bully, for lack of a better description.

- They have virtually no real healthcare benefits
- They have a history of underpaying disabled employees and treating them as inferiors
- They destroy smalltown America
Need I go on? Look around http://www.wakeupwalmart.com for a bit and you'll see a lot more.
Just beccause they have cheap prices doesn't make them good.
I don't shop much at Walmart, but out of curiousity, are other large chains like Target or Costco really any better?

If by better, you mean treationg employees fairly and paying them fair amounts of money and not destroying small independents, then yeah, they're 1000 times better.
This board is just another example of how much some of the public is misinformed about this company.

No idea about Tower, but Target and Costco actually are better, as far as benefits, charity work, and general treatment of their employees and customers go.
I...don't know how to interpret that last part. Are you saying I'm ignorant, or is this my PMS over-sensitivity kicking in?

Well, as long as we're being condescending:
Clearly what we need is more punctuation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To distort the shape of the board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because we're too special to use one exclamation point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!eleventy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tmm_fan, you are making it kind of hard to take you seriously. There are ways of getting your point across without using all of that punctuation and talking down to people.

:) No offense or anything. It is just that this company has brainwashed so much of the public it's sickening. Wal Mart is 100% unfair, underpays their employees, and destroys the very heart and soul of America!
That I will agree with.
I don't like WalMart, but I still buy there, sorry.
Really, you could've made a much better case had you acted in a much calmer, collected manner.

I'm not talking down to people, or at least I don't think I am. If I am, though, I apologize.
And exclamation points are not rude :)

Well, tmm_fan, if you'd bothered to use the search function (cliche alert) you would have found that we've discussed this very topic before. You're hardly the first to notice that Wal-Mart uses some pretty unsavoury practices, and patronizingly assuming the rest of us are a bunch of ignoramuses on the topic isn't going to win you any converts.

walmart destroys the heart and soul of america?
i disagree. sure, they don't treat their employees fairly, but neither do a lot of places.
they have good prices and carry everything...if people are shopping there and working there, i don't see how its destroying anything.
i don't like how many there are, either, but i'm not calling it EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to enlighten people to the "evils" of Walmart, that's fine. But you should do it in a way that shows you want to inform them, but that you still respect their decision to shop wherever they want. Calling people misinformed and ignorant, and telling them that they shouldn't shop there, isn't going to accomplish much. If they're misinformed, *inform* them.
Whoa, whoa, whoa - I am not brainwashed and I don't think the public is either - there's a difference between being brainwashed vs. having the nasty side of Walmart swept under the rug. They haven't seemed to portray themselves to be all that is good in America - just a company that gives low prices. And they do. And while I don't shop at Walmart for a variety of reasons (including the ones presented on that website, thankyouverymuchIamnotanignoramus), I doubt that they're the only large corporation to outsource and treat their employees like crap (Hello Disney!).

And your exclamation points are damn annoying, IMO. One will do. Two or three at the most. But they don't magically make your message more urgent or relevant when you use more of them. It's about as effective as pressing the elevator button repeatedly to make it come faster, and far more obnoxious.
