When Bush took office, all we heard was 'how everything was Clinton's fault'. They used this until they won the 2002 election.No longer could they get away with blaming Bubba for everything. They even tried saying Clinton was responsible for 911. Only people I am hearing who are bringing up Bush are the ones asking,why all of a sudden do some of these things bother Republicans? There is a difference i the two Papa.I am not falling back on anything. All I am asking is why all of a sudden are some of these issues important when they were not under Bush's term and no one seems to have an answer for that.

Yes, you can dish it out but can't take it. If you could you would not spending entire segments on the news about the President using dijon mustard or complaining over every little thing.Republicans have even made arguments for Obama's Supreme Court pick, who he has not even picked yet. I guarantee you Rush will devote at least half his show to his personal attack today. Rush will be the victim in his version of events.

I have found fault with the Democrats. I have faulted them for not going after Bush officials,I despise John Edwards and Joe Lieberman, and I have not approved the way the Democrats are handling the election of AL Franken. You just have not been paying attention.

So, keep trying to make this argument Papa. All you can do is go off topic and divert attention elsewhere.

when did she ever say she wanted either to die? I missed that line.

I think the Rush joke crossed the line for that event, but I did not see Obama laughing hysterically. In fact, after the first joke, she asked "too much?" and it appeared that Obama took a sip of water/wine to try just deal with the uncomfortable moment. He did smile at the joke but it was not as you describe. Then she riffed, "I hope this country fails ... I hope your kidneys fail". t was too much for the particular event.

Hannity did offer to be water-boarded for charity, so I found that joke fine. On his show with Charles Grodin he offered to be water-boarded, and has not followed up. So he was fair game in my book.

and i am asking the same question, rom: why are things that were tantamount to treason when done during the bush administration suddenly ok now? if it was wrong when bush did, why is it ok now?

when did i become a member of the news media, rom? you do kow that i am not personally fox news or have you lost it comletely. man, i know that bds is ugly, but this is just sad.

and ywiw, i have no prolem with the hannity stuff either. he opened himself up to it. i wrote him and told him he was an idiot for not undergoing the procedure. but she also said after the kidneys line "he needs a good waterboarding" specifically in reference to limbaugh. btw, how long does one generally tend to live after kidney failure? long time?

I'm going to go waaaay out on a limb here and suggest that Rush can take it. Anything that gets people talking about him is okay in his book, I imagine.

It depends on whether or not you can get a transplant. Kidneys can be transplanted.

And you are right about the second throwaway line about waterboarding Rush. I think that they were not appropriate for the event.

But, it does strike me as a bit ironic that the exact things the right was doing to the left early in the Bush Administration is now being complained about by those now on he receiving end. But, after about 8 years of being told that failing to support Bush was tantamount to treason, I do shake my head in wonder at what some of the right do and say. They have the right to say a lot of it, but some seem to be close to inciting violence, and that is something they cannot do (Michele Bachmann, are you listening)?

You are right that there is hypocrisy on both sides - the view is always a bit different when you are the party in power. But, did you honestly expect anything different? The Republicans pulled plenty of shenanigans and now will act astonished when the Democrats use the same tools demonstrated by their Republican colleagues.

Well Papa, Bush did not consider waterboarding torture so why are you all upset about Wanda saying that to Rush? Nothing but a harmless prank!

No Papa, there are things Bush did that were just wrong. Obama is reversing those things and Republicans, mostly Cheney, are having a fit about that.

I never said you were a part of the media.The right Wing pundits seem to be foaming at the mouths over Obama's choice of mustard and my point was, this was the best they dig up on him? How petty can you be to go after someone over their choice of mustard.

I love your attempts at trying to discredit me while making excuses for the conservatives. Michael Steel, or should I say Rush(the real head of the GOP) would be awfully proud of you!
