Who else here really wants to go to a performing arts school but lacks proper location and finances?
I really want to go to a performing arts school, but I'm afraid of a huge commute. With gas prices as high as they are now, an hour commute isn't going to be to pleasant combined with the tuition. Anyone else want to share their desire?
dude- scholarships, scholarships,scholarships- that's the only way i can afford to go my flippin amazing school...
and if it's a train commute, you can talk to your local gov and ask to go for free since you're a student.
See, my problem is that my parents don't want me go to a preforming arts high school.

I go to the HS that aspiring's mom won't let her go to. What her mom doesn't believe is that it's also one of the top academic schools in the city.
Meh. I think I'll keep trying to convince her to let me go, and go tot auditions, and hope and pray. The thing is, in a few times that we've fought she's been like 'okay, fine, go there'. I don't want her to let me go out of anger though, I want her to genuinley accept that this is my life... Here's hoping.

I also got into one of the top academic schools in the world, where my mom wanted me to go. I actually signed the paper to go there, but had something of an emotional breakdown, and decided that I really wanted to go to the performing arts school. My mom did not really take my aspirations seriously until I had said breakdown.

Me too, aspiring. My parents wouldn't even consider it. Just cause it'd be expensive, far away, and "unecessary". I think they're still not completely convinced that I really want to do theatre for my whole life.
