It's simple, the youngin's are off for the summer and come here to play. They don't understand the history or nature of the off-topic board and they take commentary seriously and become personally offended. Understanding sarcasm, wit, dark humor, etc. and the ability to read between the lines in most instances comes with maturity. Some get it and play along, others cry foul. Mark my words, civility will return around September 1. And, for those who think me a guilty party, I only direct "cruel" comments to one poster, who I truly do think is stupid.

Well it's tough for me to not speak a bit o' my mind on all the various moments of madness we've all seen and "heard" around here lately..it is indeed sad when a beloved member of the "family" fights with another member of the "family", but that's life folks..
It's even worse when somebody walks out and slams the door behind them as they storm out, AFTER saying something caustic and "witty"..not fun.
BUUUTTTTT, this is a message board, and an OFF-TOPIC message board at that, created for the sole purpose of gabbing about ANYTHING..be it asking if Cool Whip is hot, or if papalovesmambo is also in the "HOT" catergory..or for a heated and intelligent political debate, how I MISS Auggie!
Then there is also room for the AMAZING Woo and Ree to hold court, after all it is OFF-TOPIC, and one could argue that they are always kind of "on-topic" cause' they wrote HAIRSPRAY, well they DID! Woo clued me in on the truth, she's cool like that..
I would also think this is a fine place to discuss,shout and swoon over Hot Chours Boys.. and gals, why not?!
It's OFF-TOPIC playground dudes..heck you can talk about ME here if ya'd like, I love the attention!
See, I'm not really a smarty pants, I like simple things, such as Caddyshack, Star Wars action figures, Corner Bistro burgers, good merlot, seeing old friends made fun of..the lil' things in life, and I have found some honest enlightenment in these threads!
I come here for the shared lunacy, the crazed passion for EVERTHING and to spend a few moments with my BWW "friends", some of who I've met and gotten to call treasured parts of my life, I love them 100%..with all my heart.
So I guess I'm trying to say, yes, things are a tad negative, but I would hope that the shared spirit of just "being" together will see us thru the rain as they say...and if some people wanna bolt, screw em' no really, what can ya do, I mean God Bless them for sticking to their guns, but it's not worth losing sleep over, we'll maybe Namo is, (I love him)....in closing, play nice, don't splash and please don't make me call my Mother, then you'd REALLY have a problem!
