Wedding Bells for Bristol?

I wonder what "Mama Grizzly" will have to say about this??

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston reveal exclusively in the new Us Weekly that they are getting married.

And, they tell Us Weekly, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has been kept in the dark about their plans ... until now.

US MAGAZINE

"Just a Guy. Your feelings are touching. I am gladdened by the thought that you will one day wind up 6 feet under as we all do." - MrRoxy ------ "I do not suggest you walk out the door onto a New York street with your vulnerable child part exposed and not protected..." - Jason Bennett

They deserve each other. Sadly, the child deserves better.

She looks 35 in that picture.

"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

I am sure Sarah is happy about this. Levi was a loose cannon and a real danger for her being in the public unchecked. I am sure if Sarah runs for the White House he would have been hunted down and really grilled about the Palins and the skeletons in their closet. This way with him married to Bristol she has a little more control of him.

The news says he met with the Palin's and issued a public apology to them last week. I don't know, part of me thinks he was a teenager when he was thrust into the spotlight. He probably got a bit wrapped up in the fame. I am sure he made a nice little chunk of change in the past few years. Knowing from what we were told about him, he probably isn't cut out for the spotlight, was over it and wanted to get back to the life he knows. That's just my thought. Although, I have to admit that I took pause when they announced that they believe in abstinence and will live apart until they are married. I suspect some stripper or bar waitress will come out in the next few days and say she slept with him.

But he's not marrying THAT waitress/stripper...so no need for abstinence from HER.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The Palins released a statement:

In a statement to NBC News on Wednesday morning, Sarah and Todd Palin said that they want what's best for their kids and that "Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives."

I want to know how they pulled the photo shoot off for US Magazine in Alaska without anyone knowing.

I will wager they will be married before the race for the Republican Primaries begin. Then we will hear nothing about them again!

They believed in abstinence back when she got pregnant the first time. Believing in it means nothing, practicing it is what matters.

The baby is adorable. I love this story! Such a respite from politics and Gulf oil! Maybe thier son will have a life that is 80% unstable rather than 90%?

I actually think this is one of Sarah's clearest statements.

She's saying "Levi is the one at fault here. Bristol has decided to forgive him. We're withholding judgment."

If you've read even a chapter or two of Palin's book, you'll know she ain't much for forgiving.

I think that Sarah was in on the whole thing. Like that spoiled princess Bristol is going to risk being cut off. It's a win for Levi because, really, what is he ever going to accomplish on his own? He's probably being paid a nice sum to STFU, backtrack and apologize and will have a nice place to live, money in his pocket and access to his child. The media will play right into it...no more hard book learnin' questions for Sarah! Now this is all she'll be asked about, she knows it and she loves it. Fits right in with her Mama Grizzly B.S.
