In my school, AP Euro is taken in 10th grade, and AP World is taken in 11th grade.

In the 5th grade, I had to take a test on all the 50 states and the capitals. Updated On: 3/21/06 at 07:27 PM

You live in New York, right? Don't you have to take the Global History regents in 10th?

I'm taking AP Spanish 5. GAH! One of my friends is taking AP Euro next year, I guess it's a popular course.

I *think* that whether you take regular Global or AP Euro in 10th grade, you still have to take the global regents at the end of the year. I'm not really sure though. I know that AP Euro is optional. You don't have to take it.

I just think that it would make more sense to take AP World in 10th, so you can take the regents. If you just take AP Euro, you don't learn about the rest of the world.

Yeah, that does make sense. But they don't offer it to us like that.

Do people fail the regents miserably then? There are always a ton of questions about Asia and The Middle East.

And, what about the American History regents in 11th? In AP World you don't talk about America at all.

Back in my day, we didn't have AP World. :-P Just Euro, US and Government.

I wouldn't be able to locate the majority of the states if I had to. Sad, eh?

And not only is it in Wyoming, it's in Laramie. Though it's been awhile, I'm hoping that all goes over well.

I know where most of the states are. There's probably 5 that I'd mix up.

I'm back from my trip, I got back Sunday... got sick the night before... very not-fun. But, I missed the boards... I almost came on one day with my friend but figured it might scare her slightly.

AP World History and AP US History, both classes I'd be interested in, aren't offered at my school. Yeah, we're not exactly a school known for its academics.

I was only given the option of taking AP and Honor classes my senior year of HS, and before that it was College Prep classes. So mostly I have no idea what the hell you people are talking about. Anthony

I know all fifty states! :P

AP still confuses me. We don't have it here :P

Sadly, I know more about the states than some Americans that I know.

I've become so studious lately, so I thought I could take on AP Euro.

I only took one AP class in high school (English), and that wasn't until my senior year. My school wasn't exactly the most academic, so our AP program was fairly limited. So, I don't have much of an idea of what you guys are talking about either. I suppose I shall just sit here and look pretty. Anthony

Siiiiiigh AP.

My high school offered both AP Euro and AP US. Well, my school offered most AP tests, actually.

Anyway, how is everyone? I just came back from Russia on Sunday....

Cold as hell. XD

Well, really, in all seriousness, Russia was like a different world. It was entirely AMAZING (and I have 250+ pictures to show its amazingness), but completely different. I mean, all the women wore furs and six-inch stiletto heels... Even while performing construction work, for example.

I could go on about the trip forever, but I'll just leave it at that. Oh, and a kid on my trip (a large drunkard) got smashed at 3 AM, wandered the Nevsky Prospect all by his lonesome and got mugged by the cops. Anthony It's only amusing because this was the second time it happened. He just never learns...

Er, by the way, I was in St. Petersburg only. I didn't go down to Moscow or out to Siberia or whatnot. Anthony

Aw, I want to go to Russia! It sounds amazing. =) Heck, I just want to go to Europe in general. It's sad, the only time I've been out of the United States was when i went to Vancouver...
