Church of the Spilled Blood, build on the spot where Alexander the ... first? Was murdered. I believe. They threw a bomb at his carriage, but it was a dud. He hopped out to see the commotion. A bomb landed on his feet and he pretty much blew up.
And thus a church was built in that spot. Crazy Russians.
Sounds oh-so-pleasant.
I attempted to catch up on everybody's accounts of last night. It's not going very well.
WRQ- You must have been sitting next to me, or near me. The girl with the cat face was int he row behind me, like a seat over.
Wait, then I probably saw you!
Me too! But, I have no clue who you were.
Umm... my mom and I were sititng in the last two seats of the row (she was on the end).
We weren't sitting with Alix and WRQ, but I came over to say hi right before the event began; I was wearing jeans and a greenish/tan zip-up sweater.
I do believe I saw you. I was wearing a grey track suit.
I always feel so silly knowing I saw someone I "know" but didn't really realize it.
I can't honestly say I've had that experience until today.
Oh wow, you were on the end all the way to the right? Not the left? Yeah, I was the girl closer to you then, next to the 2 empty seats Emcee and Fantab didn't end up using. Alix was next to me.
Yeah, I'm used to this happening a lot too, but usually worse...usually it's someone I've been talking to a lot on BWW and they IM/PM me to ask if I was somewhere and I say yes and they say I thought it was you but I was too scared to ask. Very frustrating. Sometimes I seriously think we should all have/wear like BWW pins or something...some way at these events to kind of let others know we're on BWW so we can find each other and we don't end up near people we know but don't realize.
Wow. Hi!
The only other time I had that happen was when I saw Lennon. I mentioned something on here baout dropping my camera while waiting at the stagedoor, and liotte was like "THAT WAS YOU?" It turned out I had her take a picture for me.
We need BWW badges for events like these.
Haha. Of anyone, I think Liotte's the most likely that you will have been near somewhere at a Bway event/show/stage door. Heh, I almost talked to you actually, b/c I was trying to figure out some way for 3 people to fit into 2 seats, but then I realized something like asking anyone to move down wouldn't work since there were no seats to move down to. Oh well.
So how did your greeting go? were you early enough on the line to miss all the uhh, amusingness of the night?
The greeting went well. As usual, I froze up when I actually got up to Anthony, though. He was still very nice. The girl with the cat ears and the frog was ahead of me. I didn't see too much of the line amusement, because I left right after Anthony signed my book.
This is pretty random, but I'm curious. I was reading over an old thread about The 24 Hour Plays, and wrq listed her seat number. I think that we were sitting next to eachother. If that was you, we chatted for a little bit. I don't know if you remember, but I was with my mother. Sorry for the threadjack.
Yes, I do!!
Dead center, front row mezz! You were saying you've gone to lots of Rent events and Anthony knows you right? And I was saying Anthony and Cheyenne recognize my face so to pass time we pretty much watched them and everyone in the box, and laughed hysterically at Adam. Did you also point out Hayden to me b/c he was a surprise? I remember someone did that.
I've been copying all my accounts of nights like that and last night and other things into a word document, to serve as a book/journal? I'll have to check if I mentioned anything about you.
Aww, poor dancing that you followed that. So you watched Anthony put the frog on his head and such? We def saw you b/c we kept looking over at the table at that point. Well, glad you got to go, and we watched Anthony talk and stuff to each and every person, and commented how great he is to do that, so I'm sure it worked out well
Bohemian, did I mention BWW? I just notice you joined two days after.
I'm happy that you remember me! I did say that I had been to a lot of the Rent events, and I was wondering if Anthony would recognize me. It was a lot of fun to laugh at everyone in the box. I'm not sure that I pointed Hayden out to you, but I remember not knowing that he was going to be there and saying something about it, so I could have. I don't think that you mentioned BWW. You might have, but I was lurking back then. I finnaly decided to create an username after reading all of your stories from that night. You are officially the first poster that I ever met.

aww that's so cool you guys!
Eek..Cheyenne and Anthony recognize you? Lucky
Yay.
Well just checked what I wrote...didn't talk about much beforehand...mostly just cool things after. Very fun night, not quite as much fun as the one a week after, but others would disagree I went straight from saying hi to Liotte, Em, meeting Alix to briefly describing the plays and stuff, then to the fun aftertime.
Reading it, I'm pretty sure I just wrote it on the Greg thread, around that time I made a lot of my like "stage door" experiences there, and I think maybe wrote a little about the event on the main board. Anyway, that was embarassingly one of my fangirl accounts (I was excited Wilson touched my shoulder), but let me know if you want me to PM it to you anyway.
But things like this always make me more happy to be the way I am, so different than how I used to be. I used to be really, really shy but now I'm totally outgoing, friendly, and can go lots of places alone and make "friends" with people around me. (Sometimes they end up being American Idol mothers...) So it's cool that you were a soon-to-be-BWWer that I was chatting with
Yeah it's silly but amusing with Cheyenne. At the flea market celebrity table when I got to him, he was like hi! and was like...I know you...my reply: "Oh, well I played with your dog at Central Park recently." Him: "Oh yeah, right. Hey!" So he knows me as the girl that played w/ his dog at central park I've heard from others though that he's one of those people that's great with recognizing fans, much like Anthony actually.

aww that's so cute
I'd love to read what you had to say. You were really nice and friendly. I'm happy that I can reconnect with you.
Hey dancingthrulife! I remember you. awww, too bad we didn't talk. I felt so bad for the people around me that I was saving those seats and then they weren't used. (Don't worry, I don't blame you at all em and fantab.)
One of the things that struck me most about last night was when Christopher Murray (the guy who did the interview) asked Anthony if he had any reservations about publishing some of what he wrote. Of course, he's been asked this before, but this time he mentioned that people have compared reading his book to reading someone's journal. He wasn't dismissive of the comparison, but that's the word that comes to mind. That notion or any reservations hadn't even crossed his mind. Maybe by deciding to write this book, he had already gotten past that factor so it was no longer an issue, but I know I'd be weary before publishing my journal or such intimate feelings for the world. I know this point has been made many times and probably beaten to death, but I thought I'd share it in case anyone's interested. He also told the story with the snowman throughout Life Support and then how the cast brought it back in funny ways while filming Goodbye Love and the alternate ending, mentioned having to change people's names who are discussed in the book in any sexual way, including earsex, (There were more qualifications for name changing he mentioned, but I don't remember them.), and once again talked about why he started writing the book and how he ended up in New York and why Daphne and Freddie weren't in the movie, as if he was telling it all for the first time. See, the night wasn't completely overrun with rambling fangirls.
