NYC Signing!

"and the people like...raping Rodney. =/ "

It was really that bad? Oy gavolt. Poor Rodney. He's so sweet. I'm sure he handled it really well and if he was weirded out didn't let on, but still...that's just...wrong.

Thanks a lot for the review guys! I'm glad you guys got to go to the concert after. Must have felt pretty nice and relaxing after the book signing. Fortunately more enjoyable too, so a good way to end your nights on a high note NYC Signing!

So big, tall, intimidating Em pushed Anthony into the corner, eh?

Was Rodney at the book signing or just the concert?
#3178

NYC Signing!

nah, someone beat me to it, and then there was a line and he was kind of stuck there. Someone brought him a little booklight.

The whole atmosphere there was so chill. I'm glad I went.

He was at both, Mel. In bright orange! NYC Signing!

I didn't see him, thats so weird. Awe, i'm sad I missed him. I spent like a lot of time just looking around too because after like the first 2 hours it gets kinda boring. I was thinking I totally know people here hahaha.
#3180

NYC Signing!

Aww, okay. You all were winking at each other about not knowing the person who attacked him...was it someone else on here or just an inside joke?

Bright orange! Ha! Aww.

Hmm, another question I just thought of...the way Fantab described it, the line moved very fast, and pictures were fast. Did anyone ask for or get to do the tango pose pic then? Seems that wasn't the case.

The line moved fast?!?! What signing was I at?

Juuuuuuust kidding. I didn't move for a while, but after that it started to move.

I don't think anyone asked for a tango picture. Of course, I couldn't really see anything until I was up there.

NYC Signing!

The line moved reallyyy slow in the beginning. I was in the middle of the first aisle, and the security guard kept on coming over and asking us to have everything ready for him. I'm like thank you, because I'm retarded.. I was gonna decide to put batteries in my camera once I get up there . It was a little bit tedius and stressful being in line in the beggining because it wasn't moving and there were really annoying people moo'ing up front (sorry if that was anybody here)--a lady behind me yelled up front-- WRONG SONG! and I started laughing. But I guess it started moving faster once the big crowd in the front left.

I don't think they would've allowed tango photos. :-/

I thought they were saying "Move!". XD I thought: "That's rude!"

It moved a little faster once that group left and it turned into a line.

Oh, maybe..IDK, I heard something like that. I thought they were moo'ing at him. It would not surprise me. They might've been saying 'move', I'm not sure.
#3186

NYC Signing!

hahaahaha they were mooing?!

You were much closer than I was, so you would have heard better. You know that far aisle? That's were I was.

NYC Signing!

How late did Anthony stay? Was everybody able to get something signed and a picture? For some reason I was really worried that he wouldn't be able to get to everybody haha.
#3189

NYC Signing!

I believe that everyone was able to get a picture and their DVD or book signed. I was around the end of the line and I was done at 10:00 or so. He was at Cutting Room at..10:30ish. He said that the latest he could stay was 10:45, so I assume since he was done before that, everyone got a picture and something signed. (Or at least I hope.)

NYC Signing!

Yeah, that was pretty much my question, I wouldn't think those pictures would be allowed.

Sorry I didn't mean the line moved fast as much as I meant they TRIED to have the line move fast.

xM3L24x, considering the behavior of some other people there, I don't think it's fair to criticize those telling you to have things ready, treating you like a retard. I've seen things like that all the time, even on a line--people have so much time to wait and do nothing and somehow when they get there, they realize or remember that oh, they need to put batteries in my camera. I would be glad that they kept reminding everyone.

Wait, I didn't say that. Did you mean 'x', as in Mel (M3L)?
Shari Lewis: Did you ever wish upon a star? Lamb Chop: I once asked Mr. Rogers for his autograph.
#3192

NYC Signing!

No, I know. I didn't mean to come off bitchy. The security guard was really nice.. I talked to him for a bit once we got closer. He just told us like every 5 minutes. And the problem was really up front.
#3193

NYC Signing!

Yes, sorry. I probably should have just written out the screename[editing] but the way the letters were set up, I just put the x. Sorry for the confusion.

I dunno. I like, get the system, and the post-it thing was a good idea, but when I told the guy Anthony knew my name, he should've just let me go without my post-it. It was really awkward.

NYC Signing!

It's okay. I've just learned a very important rule over the span of my life:

Never underestimate the stupidity of some people.

NYC Signing!

ETA: That's fair Em. I was referring more just to what was said about them constantly reminding people to be ready.

Well, wait a minute. Oh..they had you write the name on the post-it so he could personalize the autograph? I was going to ask why the post-its, but that must be why. I was thinking why would they want everyone to have nametags? Silly me.

NYC Signing!

LOL, thats true wickedrentq

Yeah, I was really nervous because I wanted to get one of the little orange cards advertising the gig at the Cutting Room signed for one of my friends whose in Puerto Rico and I was really nervous asking the guy for a post-it for it, but he just didn't really care.
#3197

NYC Signing!

Going back a couple of posts, Anthony said he was signing until around 10:20.

#3198

NYC Signing!

Oh, then I guess the line must have been moving really fast after I left. I got home really fast last night, it only took me 30 minutes to leave the city. There was like no traffic.

Someone on LJ said that he didn't finish the signing, but I find that hard to believe since he said he could stay until 10:45 and ended up only staying until 10:20.
