Talking about parents singing Rent...

Last night on the way to the book signing, we were listening to Rent (because I'm just that cool)...I caught my mom singing Rent and Tango Maureen (and who knows what else)...

My friends make fun of me for being "obssesed" (what they like to call it) with Adam and RENT, more than my mom does. They [my friends] are always like "oh gawd, Adaamm? He has a wife a kids!" whenever I mention something once in a while..but then later in the conversation they are always like "GOD. He is HOT!" ..I don't get them..

My mom watched the movie with me, and at the end after Roger and Mark hug during WYO, she turns to me and says "They're lovers TOO?!". Clearly, she did not follow. She does know who Anthony Rapp is now though.

The movie was a lost cause on my mom..she's seen the stage production and still didn't understand anything. My dad thoroughly enjoyed it though, he sang along. It was..not pretty. A 50 year old man should not attempt to sing along to 'Out Tonight'.

Adam can be hot and still have a wife and kids.

I was trying to explain Raul to my parents over break in convincing them to let me go to Cincinnati. After going on and on about how much I admire him as an actor, there was this "100 Child Stars" show on VH1 and during the Molly Ringwald segment, they showed a poster of Cabaret with Raul on it and I was like "Oh my god, it's Raul!" They laughed at me for being so randomly fangirly (seriously, I was just surprised to see him on TV) and started to tease me. I liked it better when they knew nothing about my life.

There's a picture of the current cast on broadway for some kind of prize that you can win (I think like two tickets and some signed stuff..and other things?), and there's pictures of the cast on the next page. I saw it at my friend's house today.. I kinda want it.
