Thanks. I don't understand how someone can say bad things about a perosn they don't know.

Look, I felt bad about it too, but you're kind of amplifying A D simplifying what happened. People were saying bad things about the MOVIE, and claiming that Anthony had been PMing people trying to get them to change their opinions of the movie, which was only half-truth. He had been PMing them in an attempt to get some constructive conversation, because at that point he was still not permitted to post. It wasn't like people came on (that particular thread, at least, for the most part) and we on about how Anthony is not a nice person, or not a good actor, or this or that. That wasn't what it was about. Some of them said they did believe that he shouldn't be posting here for various reasons, but it was not just "let's attack Anthony Rapp because we don't like him." It was about his actions, which some posters don't believe are correct, many of those posters who disliked the movie. He had to post to defend himself and set the record straight.

Clap Anthony!

No. When the Rent blogs started, Sony did not permit him to post here.

The correct version of the story will keep people from unnecessarily freaking out about it. I understand that what happened was upsetting and frustrating -- I posted a lot on that thread and you can see how I felt about it. But if you just say "people were mean to Anthony!!" that's going to get people more upset than they should be. It's not like every person in the world who mildly dislikes Anthony came to BroadwayWorld and said why.

Thanks for setting that straight. I had no idea what it was all about so i checked it out and read most of what was said, Anthony did it fairly, and the reviews were fair, it was what was thought by the people. I was just wondering because it had been talked about on here and I had no idea what the situation was.

*pouts* Why does everyone think Anthony wouldn't want my virginity? And that the guards are planning to drag me away? Seriously, I wonder why everyone thinks that.

Just because when it comes to Anthony I have absolutely no shame/self-control? My worst fear is this exchange:

Me: Hi, I'm Bethy. Incendiary_wit on broadwayworld.com.
Anthony: it's nice to meet you.
Me: I'm also trekkiepirate on inapropothought.
Anthony: *blink, blink* You're...the girl with the...stories.
Me: *OMGASM HE KNOWS MY WORK* YES! *preens*
Anthony: *runs like hell!*
Me: *gives chase* Emcee told me to tell you that you can have my virginity!
Anthony: *runs faster*

You know I was being facetious, right? Please tell me you knew that.

It's very easy to make the connection between LJ and BWW, especially when you use your real name. Clap Anthony! He's a smart cookie; if he reads both, can it be THAT surprising?

I know you were just joking, Emcee. So was I. =8->

Also, I expect at least a "Lordy, it's HER!" look on his face.

Also, the quiz was made by the girl who's taking me up to Gainesville with her. Anthony is going to looooooove us.

He probably reads and sees a lot more than we think he does.

The man goes to inapropothought. He knows all the insanity we post.

Obviously, nothing can scare him.
