Plus it borders on the line of sexual harassment. Which, at this extent, it certainly isn't, but its not up to you to decide what the person on the recieving end finds offensive or not.

Well said Em.

Personally I find it too invading and wierd. You wouldn't write stories like that about your friends or people you know. Why do you write it about a person that you've probably never met? They aren't characters here. They are real people. And I'm sure it makes them very uncomfortable. What if Adam's sons were older and somehow got a hold of what's being written? Or what if his wife read it? How would he feel then? No matter how polite Adam and Anthony try to be about it, they have to really creeped and very uncomfortable with it. Who wouldn't be uncomfortable with getting onto the internet and finding stories of themselves and their good friends written by complete strangers? It really crosses the line in my opinion.

Good point.

What if these actors HAD objected to it? Would it make you stop posting it? Probably not, though hopefully you wouldn't be openly advertising it. Just because you haven't received a "cease and desist" order doesn't mean it's not disrespectful.

Good point, Katt. And to further that -- totally disrespecting people you ADMIRE?

Again, as I say, do it. On your own time and in your own space. But it's just not that bright to post it online, IMO. Hell, this thread is here to WELCOME Anthony, and people are constantly begging him to come post again. What do you expect him to SAY to stuff like that? This is welcome? (Not that I didn't contemplate a title change, for what it's become.)

Yes, they're in the public eye and have probably conditioned themselves to let this sort of stuff roll off their backs, and just to chuckle at it and move on. But like skittles said, just because they *appear* complacent about it doesn't mean it's not still... not cool.

Oh, God. Can you imagine what'll happen when Adam's sons are old enough to start surfing the internet? "Hey... Daddy....?"

The thought of them finding that makes me shudder. And that is why I feel real life stories shouldn't be written. Anyone can find it. It's just so inappropriate and intrusive.

I wish I had something to add to this wisdom, but I really can't think of anything.

You guys pretty much just summed it up.

Let's just hope Adam monitors what his kids are looking at online better than the Chitty stageparents Clap Anthony!

Regardless of the actors' reactions, if it makes so many people just on this board alone uncomfortable, maybe you should realize that this isn't the best place for it. Put it in your locked LJ entries, not here.

She's got a blog! A pretty, grammatically correct one! Clap Anthony! It's all related to the cookbook, but she posts recipes and things up there, as well as allergy-related news, etc.

Em, what's Cybele's website? I'm guessing she'd have a decent amount of vegetarian recipes, right?

"`I grow old... I grow old... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.` What does that mean, Mr. Marlowe?" "Not a bloody thing. It just sounds good." He smiled. "That is from the `Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.` Here's another one. `In the room women come and go/Talking of Michael Angelo.' Does that suggest anything to you, sir?" "Yeah -- it suggests to me that the guy didn't know very much about women." "My sentiments exactly, sir. Nonetheless I admire T. S. Eliot very much." "Did you say, 'nonetheless'?" - The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler

www.allergycookbook.blogspot.com

Each of the recipes are without at least several of the 7 (I think) main allergens. I'm sure some of the stuff is coincidentally vegetarian, or even vegan, though.

They really are cute. I usually don't like kids, but they're pretty cute anyway.

I enjoy little kids from afar. I avoid up close exposure though, due to the fact that they pick their noses and usually don't wash their hands thoroughly. I get sort of OCD when it comes to booger germs. It grosses me out.

I just don't relate to them properly and feel like an idiot trying to do so. I have no idea how to deal with them. They make me really uncomfortable.

BSo, I... well, it's not as bad as pornography.
