I have a question thats been bugging me for a while, you know in RENT the movie how on New Years Maureen is in the cat suit? How in the hell did she get into it, I mean its like skin tight?

Sorry for the random question.

Better than my random question, which I never asked, that I was just about to ask... and it completely left me. Urgh.

Hey..i'm deciding to join the Anthony thread (if everything is calm with the spelling heh Free to be Off-Topic)

RENTluv..Maureen's cat suit is probably stretchy..like tights. I can't imagine it being easy to put on though

nice pic Mandi

Oh I never thought of that, and I am a fabulous speller. I just have to refer to my dictionary once in a while.

I love Antonique Smith!

...Sorry, random, but she plays a fantastic Mimi. And she's my height. Cheyenne (I'm going to abbreviate your name- hope you don't mind) I can spell when I've had enough sleep. So, in other words, you might as well put me down as someone who spells like a dyslexic kindergartener.

Ava---she's okay, she sounds just like Idina, but I don't like her 'Over The Moon' and that's one of my favorite parts in the show.

I got Ava as well. Free to be Off-Topic She's great, but she looks young enough to play Mimi.

I think the cast should look young.. I think Will is too old to play Roger. He has an amazing voice, I'm a fan..but he looks too old IMO.

Dramatic, Maureen is supposed to be the second youngest female in the show. The original character breakdown says the actress HAD to be early 20s.

Just wanted to comment on the cat suit question. From my experience as a dancer I can tell you that if that outfit wasn't stretchy there was probably a lot of baby poweder involved in getting her into it. And they might have sewn her into it as well.

Oh. *sheepish look* Well, I never said my opinion was politically correct, just that how young she looked bothered me. Well, her performance wasn't my favorite period. It just doesn't help that in TMOLM, Joanne looked like a bit of a pedophile.

Just me? Okaaay then.

Back on the inapropothoughts bit a while back. . . I tried to join and was also declined. The age limit doesn't apply to me, as far as I know. Could someone invite me to it? I'm MickeyMurton.
And for the cat suit question, I doubt they'd sew her into it for 8 performances a week.
ETA: My point being, if they had a way to get her into it 8 times a week on stage, they could easily bring that to the movie costuming.

They would acctually sew you in the outfit? Weird. I guess I can understand though.

Edit: In the movie though I saw a zipper. So either its stretchy, or there is a lot of baby powder involved. Updated On: 1/25/06 at 05:46 PM

StageWhore and others: PM the screenname "Fizz" here on BWW; she's one of the maintainers and probably the best one to answer your question. Although I do find it very interesting that so many of you have been denied membership...

Threadjack

I am a very happy girl. Today in the mail, I got:

1) The RENT Bible
2) Adam Pascal's "Civilian"
3) David Searching

And I'm still trying to find the appropriate way to honor Jonathan today. Ideas?

I'm honoring Jonathan today by wearing my RENT shirt, I also put something on my profile for him, changed my avatar today, wrote something in the Jonathan Larson thread and watched 'away we go'. Rest In Peace, Jonathan. We love you.

I <3 TTB

this morning I woke up to: "is there a list? herington, herington--Kaplan, K-A-P-L-A-N for seven" stuck in my head. Haha, on the way home from the city last night I was listening to tick tick boom on my ipod with my friend. That probably explains it.

I'm honoring him by keeping him in my heart and mind throughout the day. Well, that sounded cliche and sappy, but 'tis true. And I'm listening to tick, tick...BOOM and the NYTW version of Rent.
