That would be really funny, it would also make for a good movie. I think.

IsolatingAge- thank you for at least ASKING. Its a nice change. We had one person who applied three times before we even got around to answering the first one, and then applied again after we said no without even bothering to post around and get to know us first.

If we've rejected your entry, don't take it personally. We may think you're just not ready yet. Keep posting around like you've been doing and that can change. Tolavieboheme was initally rejected, and has been posting for quite a while under public entries, then applied for a second time and was accepted.

Not everything that goes on behind friends-lock is extremely interesting, anyway. Most people seem to think we're discussing a huge amount of illicit things and disrespecting Anthony and massive secrets... which is just waaaaay overthinking it :)

I'm just curious Fizz, but what do you do to ensure that someone is "ready" for Inapropothought? Do you go in and look at their livejournals and make a decision from there?

HA, I accidentally asked to be a member of Inapropo three times. I really don't know a damn thing about LJ, and was rather confused. I'm better now... I promise. Mandi, tell Fizz I'm not insane... just stupid. Back to Anthony

I'm curious, though -- if there's a need to deem people "ready" for it, doesn't that say something about the material?

Nice avatar, Mel.

I have an LJ, but I don't know what to do with it. I don't have anything interesting enough to write about. Except for my cow pooping on my dog today, heh. But that might only be interesting to me....

Literal tacos! Sheesh. Y'all are nasty....

I hope its not based on LJ content. I haven't updated in a while, and don't really plan on doing so until something interesting happens to me.

Ok very random question:
Should I wear my Mark scarf to the book signing?

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. "Ready" is how you describe a toddler that's old enough to use the potty for the first time, not how to tell if someone should receive the priviledge of looking at boring friends-locked icon posts.

Initially we take a look at their LJ, read some entries, their interests, just generally see how their brain works. For the most part we like what we see. There are some occasional factors that make us say 'no' or 'maybe later, lets get to know them first'.

I'm curious, though -- if there's a need to deem people "ready" for it, doesn't that say something about the material?

Yes, in a way. Because NC-17 Mark/Roger fanfiction and fanart will pop up under friends-lock, thats usually the deciding factor on who we accept. If they're rather young, we tend to lean more towards 'maybe later'. We don't intend to corrupt th young'uns. There are a FEW who are younger who are members, most of them having joined before we started screening. The others we took extensive time to get to know and didn't think the stuff under our cuts would bug them.

I'm a pretty fast reader. I started reading pretty slowly, but gained momentum. It's just so...I can't find any words.

Awww, Skittles. Said exactly what I was thinking. Back to Anthony

Funny that you say this, yet you claim the stuff that's locked to be "not that bad." And even while making that claim, you feel it your civil service to deem people "ready" in some protective act. Back to Anthony
