NO, whippersnapper...now QUIT rubbing it in!
consider yourself lucky that you don't have to go through the hassle.
Ugh.
Just make an appointment.
at the DMV?
Yeah, after I JUST spent the $40 to finally get a New York license.
Wait, what do we have to do?
And another item on my growing "Thank God I'll never have to drive..." list.
you'll still need an ID geek.
I still have to get my state ID anyway. Might wanna get around to that...
When does this go in to affect?
The wait-list will go on forevvvvveerr.

Why post-1964? Have the baby boomers managed to exempt themselves from being a terrorist threat?
Phyllis, they're just too damn old to drag their walkers down to apply. We wouldn't prey on the elderly that way.
43 is hardly 'elderly.'
1950 would make more sense.

We Boomers were concerned about our forthcoming Social Security benefits (or lack thereof) so we devised this new system to help fund our slush....I mean golden years.
Thanking you in advance.
phyllis,
"The over-50 exemption was created to give states more time to get everyone new licenses, and officials say the risk of someone in that age group being a terrorist, illegal immigrant or con artist is much less."
terrorism is only for the young!
Then shoudn't the age limit start at 1958?
ETA: or is 1964 the set year because its the last year of the baby boom?
I am not getting a new ID until my TX one expires.
That's in 2010.
And I have my passport.

How am I scamming anything?
Nevada Law from the web site:
"New Nevada residents must obtain their driver license within 30 days and vehicle registration within 60 days. The fine for failing to register your vehicle is $250-$500."

Legally, most states require you to change your former state ID to that state within six months of becoming a resident.
Not that he ever bothered to do that in California either.
I didn't drive in California and I don't drive in Vegas. I don't even have a car to drive.
Why do I need a new license?
