for the semantically challenged MisterRussell...Princeton was using a slightly casual phrase of "now are they" to suggest that no one was keeping you from starting a thread with a more elevated topic (as opposed to your reading of him encouraging you to lower yourself further within this one).
As i enjoy both kinds of threads, i'd encourage your contribution elsewhere as well.
