if you want to know what walt said on lost last night when shannon ran into him scroll down for a SPOILER.
a philly radio station isolated what he said, which he was saying backwards and then played it in reverse....
Walt: Press the button. No button is bad.
Thank you Thank you Thank you! I was hitting myself for not being able to understand it...and how weird was it that Walt was even there?

Clearly, Walt is the reincarnation of the Twin Peaks dwarf.
The French Woman is the reincarnation of the Log Woman as well.
So he is saying they SHOULD push the button, that seems weird.
Thank You! I was afraid I was going to have to go read an actual Lost message board to find out and then I'd get obsessed with it and that would take me away from BWW.
Seeing him appear all dripping with water like that was so creepy. The whole scene really freaked me out.
From the start that Walt kid has creeped me out.
He's creeped me out the entire time too! That and Shannon's really bad acting!
Don't get me started on Shannon. I hope they just write her character out and soon!
Ok... didn't read the thread... BUT if someone taped it, please PM me. I forgot to set my vcr. Thanks!
I would have much rather had Ian Somerhalder stay! However, I am excited to see how they incorporate Michelle Rodriguez into the plot.
I can't wait until the Harlem Globe Trotters show up and want to build a hotel!
I didn't think that was happening until Season 3?
My Walt/Shannon theory.....Walt had "supernatural" ability when he had Vincent. Then he gave Vincent to Shannon. Now she's having visions.
I think the dog is psychic....or has some weird supernatural abilities.
I know it sounds wacky, but this is the show that had a polar bear on a tropical island, and a man living in a hatch!
Remember how it was noted by the guy who gave him back after his mother died that Walt was weird, that "things happened" when he was around? Walt spent the majority of season 1 reading a comic book featuring a polar bear. Just saying.
Oh, I firmly believe that Walt caused the polar bear to appear (which leads me to think...ummm, Walt, why not think really hard about a rescue boat??)...but I find it interesting that Shannon is now having visions, something she didn't have before she had the dog. I still think the dog has something to do with it.... as I said, just my wacky theory!
i don't think shannon is having visions. i liken her seeing walt to jack seeing his father walking in the jungle early on during season 1. it's the island, man, it's freaky.
I don't think it's the dog. I think it's all Walt.
last season I did think it was Walt making everything happen....but now I think Desmond is controlling everything from that room...
I LOVE this show. I think the numbers are the key to the whole thing. I have a theory that isn't COMPLETE yet because I don't think they've given enough info for it to be based at least partially on the numbers, but it takes a little bit to type it. If there's interest in my whacky theory, I'll write it out.
I will say this much: Pull the D off of Desmond's name (which, when you hear the number thing makes sense), and the rest of the letters in the name can anagram to "demons" Just saying - remember the furor over the the anagram of Ethan Rom -- "other man"
jasonf, I am always interested in wacky theories!
I don't think that Shannon is having visions, I wouldn't be surprised if Walt were somehow projecting himself to tell her something. He apparently feels some kind of bond with her since he asked her to watch Vincent for him.
On a different Walt note, his weird power thus far seems to be primarily connected to animals, the polar bears and the bird in Australia (am I forgetting something?), not to mention his bond with Vincent. Also does the Others coming for Walt mean that Alex had similar powers?

I want to hear the number theory! I'm one of those people that has to try and figure mysteries out (books, movies, whatever), and can stand to just let them unfold.

I'm interested in any theories!!!
I think Walt appeared to Shannon because of the connection thru the dog Vincent. I wonder if he knows he did, or if he knows he can?
Here's my theory on the numbers (though I don't yet know how 42 fits):
Forget 4 for the moment, because until last night I didn't get that either.
If you do a translation of numbers to letters using A=1, B=2 etc. then:
8 = H
15 = O
16 = P
2+3 = 5 = E
In the season finale last year, Jack asked Locke what he thought was down the hatch, and he answered "hope." Last night on season two's premiere, Jack's father made a big deal of giving his patient's "hope."
Now, the 4, by the same pattern, gives us D -- could stand for "Desmond."
I don't know if this is relevant or not, but pull that "D" off of desmond, and the rest of the letters anagram to "demons."
It's a bit far fetched, perhaps -- but could it be Pandora's Box somehow?
I just felt a chill reading that.
This series just excites me to no end.
