so I got the pies done today, but didn't get around to wrapping anything.
AND I just got a phone call. I am singing at the midnight service Christmas Eve and doing the scripture reading in, my pastor's words, "dramatic style".
YAY for more stuff to learn. Oh well, it will get done.

David walked into the valley
With a stone clutched in his hand
He was only a boy
But he knew someone must take a stand
There will always be a valley
Always mountains one must scale
There will always be perilous waters
Which someone must sail

The only things left for me to do are to make Christmas cards for my friends. I'm done with wrapping, already went to see Sweeney, and now am waiting to see Raul in The Homecoming.

I need to wrap the presents for my brother and sister, buy something for my parents (except I have no idea what I'm going to get them), and bake cookies for my family (my mom claims she can't bake, so she leaves it to me). The problem is that I'm definitely not in the Christmas mood. Being in college seems to have taken away all of my holiday spirit.

I have to shop. For everybody. I wait until Christmas Eve to buy presents. I hate leisurely shopping so I avoid the stress that many people experience for weeks prior. I like the chaos of last minute shopping and knowing I only have to do it once a year. I also have to work the next three nights so it'll add some extra frenzy to the rush. I can't wait.
Sueleen, good luck.

I honestly haven't started shopping, or even thinking about what I'm going to get people. I've been too busy with real life to worry about Christmas.

I have two hand made gifts to make, one of which requires painting and allowing for drying. I suppose I should do that one today. Im also in charge of baking and Id like to make a gingerbread house if I have the time.

Well, let's see, since I don't have a day off from work until after the new year, I haven't done any shopping, probably can't cook or bake anything, oh, and I promised a friend I'd dog sit for them at their place Monday-Thursday, and I have to see Sweeney at some point, this is going to be one full week. Since I won't get to see my family, I'll shop for them after Christmas (yeah, sales!!), I have a couple of hours between shows today to get stuff for the people I will see. Sweeney on Christmas Eve I hope. I can cook Christmas night, if I can find the time to go food shopping.
Happy, Happy Holidays to all, sincerely. I just don't have the time to be bitter. Enjoy!!

I just finished the last of the cookie baking and all the shopping is done and gifts are wrapped. I will be bringing a side dish and salad to my sister's house for Christmas eve dinner and that's it. I intend to be a full time couch potato until then!

Sueleen, check the freezer, that's where I usually find Him.

I now only have to wrap 2 pies and cook. Things are starting to fall into place.

i have to go buy that tree from the first post.
and wrap like 2 more presents.
and for the second time tonight, something sueleen posted reminded me an an *ahem* adult cartoon.
stan: hey guys, how do you find the clitoris?
cartman: what is that, like finding jesus or something?
