People already in the thread... what do you buy a straight boy who loves theatre, and lives in New York?

I don't think I'm quite ready (or rich enough) to spring for hundred-dollar theatre tickets for both of us, but I want it to be special... thoughts? (*hates to threadjack, apologizes in advance..*)

Well, my girlfriend gave me my present today. A few months ago, I was bored and she was knitting a scarf or something, so I half-jokingly asked her to show me how. She did and I liked it enough to do more of it. I suck, but it's something to kill the time. I've made a glove (yeah, just one) with three fingers and a wristband that's roughly the size of a belt. Anyway, she got me a pink shirt that says 'Yarn ho.' on it. It was funny and all as a gag gift, but when I looked for my real present, well...heh. It wasn't a gag gift. Yeah, she's lucky I love her.

So, just keep in mind that nothing you buy him can be as bad as a pink shirt that proclaims him to be a knitter. Well, and a ho, but I didn't mind that part too much.

Nope. He listens to rap music. I think it's attractive when he raps along with the CD. He think it's embarrassing. So him rapping was my present.

Make up a book of coupons for him, that he can "redeem" with you...i.e. massage, dinner, movie, sex (of course).....be creative!

He, Flowery,
I know you said you guys don't date much, but I do kind of like the idea of you giving him a gift certificate for one night out on you. You can take him out to dinner at his favorite place (even if it's Burger King), to a movie of his choice, mini golf, whatever, and it's all on you. And that gives him a nice gift of a fun evening with you. Gifts are nice, but when it comes to my significant other, I'd prefer time spent with him over an item.
