Seems like there's so many list of foods & drinks to avoid when we're singing, but what do you normally eat on the day you perform?
PROTEIN!PROTEIN!PROTEIN!
Don't have a lot of carbs because that will just give you quick energy and won't last for the whole show. It's best to eat meat, chicken, or fish and vegetables with some rice. With fruit for dessert! Give you enough energy to perform, and more.
No dairy!
My meal before a show or competition is always chicken fingers. I HATE chicken fingers, but they've always given me good luck before. The one competition (a vocabulary bee) when I didn't eat them, I came in fourth. I'm not as a rule a superstitious person, but this is my one exception.

"No dairy!"
While true for some, that's a myth for most. If you don't feel like you have extra flegm whenever you eat dairy, you should be fine. The only dairy item I've ever had that's negatively affected my singing was hot chocolate, and that's because it was burning hot!
I agree with what Jaesdare said, though.
I'm actually fine with dairy- so much so that I usually eat greek yogurt and fruit because I never want to eat too much.
I actually have a ritual fast.
I kid.
I drink water like nobody's business. I get to drink plenty of water in this show since i'm drinking from a flask for the entirety. Rockin.
If I drink too much water, I have to pee in the middle of the show and its not pretty.
I just drink like, 3 nalgenes the day before and I'm good. I'm still hydrated, and I've peed everything else out by the show :).
I usually crave peanut butter before big scary shows.
I remember in HS, the day of a performance, I would buy exactly ten water bottles, at 50 cents each, and drink them all before call, and have to buy 6 more, for a dollar each. hahahaha

I think Tea is good before a show. I am know to even drink it in costume. Throat coat works the best

I always eat an apple before a performance... weird I know, but it helps for me. :)

Lots of green salad! Just no ranch dressing, it has dairy in it. And some kind of protein on top, like chicken or salmon or tuna. I find that sushi is a pretty good before the show meal as well. Make sure you put a little wasabi on every piece, especially if you have a stuffed up nose. It will open the nasal passages really well. Feel the burn!
Schools for Theatre
I have to admit that that I don't really have any strict pre-show dietary guidelines, but I think the most important is nothing you're not used to! No one wants to be violently ill at curtain...

Melon's great for your throat. It keeps it lubricated.
Protein Bars, Water and then if Im able to, fruit is really great. Good natural sugars and natural water within them =]
But I live off of those "Pure Protein" brand Protein bars and huge bottles of water. I went through a gallon today at rehearsal. hahahha
