I like a lot of music. I mostly listen to top 40 radio stations. I mostly like songs versus artists, I guess. Favorites include Ingrid Michaelson, Bruno Mars, and Maroon 5.

After Eight, do you have any favorite ballets? I know and love Tchaikovsky's work, but I am interested in hearing some more, and trust your recommendation. Stravinsky and composers like him are not my cup of tea.

Isn't it interesting how people who never stop shouting about tolerance and acceptance are so intolerant and unaccepting of anyone who differs from their iron-clad view of what is acceptable, or not?
I would think that anyone would admire a young person's appreciation of the great works and performers of the past, especially when they exceed a thousand fold the rubbish you seem to decree as worthy.
According to your, ahem, "standards," --- which are really none other than diktats, --- a young person who prefers Proust to The Hunger Games or Joyce to some comic book is worthy of scorn and derision.

I think you might like the ballet music to Delibes's Sylvia and Coppélia, also the ballet music in the operas Faust, Manon, Le Prophète, and Adriana Lecouvreur.

My favorite ballet is Coppelia by Delibes. If you like Tchaikovsky, you will probably enjoy it as well. Also, The Red Poppy by Gliere.
I love all kids of music including classical, pop, rock, vocalists, film scores and world music. Some of my favorite artists include:

I typically listen to a lot of indie rock and pop. Andrew Bird, Frightened Rabbit, and Glen Hansard are some of my favorite artists.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

I listen to opera, vocalists (yes, I suppose they're Broadway), lots of 80s music and 60s-70s (that was what I was raised on). I love a variety of music. Some favorite groups in the rock/pop genre include Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bowie, The Eurythmics and Annie Lennox, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, The Police, The Talking Heads, The Who. A lot of variety. (Verdi to hard rock.)
