Posted: 7/28/04 at 3:09pmI'm not sure if this has been done already but I'm curious. Where did everyone's user names come from? How did you come up with them? I got mine from Jennifer Gambatese's new 'Who's Who' for 'Hairspray' because Penny is my favorite and Jenn is my favorite Penny. As some of you may have noticed, I accidently spelled sidekick as two words. That was an oops moment. Does anyone else have a mistake in their name? -Penny

Matt_g asked me this question not too long ago, my answer comes from the PM I sent back to him:
Well, the Act 1 Finale of 'Sweeney Todd' ends with an outstanding song called 'A Little Priest.' Sweeney has just murdered his first victim and Mrs. Lovett trys to tell him her idea, without actually telling him. (Her idea is to use the meat from the body to cook in her pies, because she runs a pie shop and 'business needs a lift, debts to be erased, think of it as thrift, as a gift, if you get my drift') So, Sweeney understands and they sing a song about the pies and the different occupations and how they would taste. The song is full of great double meanings
Anyway the songs begins like this:
Todd (spoken): What is that?
Lovvett (sung): It's priest, have a little priest
Todd: Is it really good?...
Lovett: Sir, its too good at least...Then again they don't commit sins of the flesh...so its pretty fresh
Todd: Awful lot of fat...
Lovett: Only where he sat...
Todd: Haven't you got poet, or something like that?
Lovett: No, you see the trouble with poet is, how do you know it's deceased? Try the Priest
Later on in the song there is this lyric:
Lovett: Beadle isn't bad 'till you smell it, but notice how well it's been greased....Stick To Priest
And my name comes from that lyric....anyway, that was too long...sorry
The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.

Mine is actually from the song By the Sword/Sons of Dixie from The Civil War, simply because By the Sword was the part of the song used to represent the North.
The 84 is just because its the year I was born.
Not exactly creative, I know, but then again I have been lobbied to change my name to By the S-Word.
