Hmmmm, I've always loved the color pink. I wear way too much pink...it's my trademark. Anyways, my mom used to call me the pink monster & my friends found out one night when I had a sleepover.

Fast forward a year or two when we're in high school. For whatever reason, one of my classes had like three girls with my name, Stephanie. My teacher asked if we had any nicknames he could call us (to seperate us) & my best friend said, you can call her Pink Monster!!!! He must have thought it was a good idea--he shortened it to Pinky. Now, almost everyone calls me that!!!

Funny how some people misspell Greg's surname ... usually they add another "r" and/or stick an "a" between the "J" and "b".

My wife, another BWW'er was looking at me one day and said something like, you may look like a dirty hippie (which I do) but you are really just a "smart" penguin
The name stuck and I must say it probably fits me well, I'm short and stocky and love to waddle and quack, when I'm not reading existentialist philosophy.

Therese is actually the name of the "MarySue"/alter-ego heroine of my first posted fanfics (based on the Disney version of "Hunchback of Notre Dame"). My first web-forum experiences (way, way back in '97) were with the old HoND fandom, where I used Therese as my screen name, and I've pretty much carried it around the net with me ever since.

I got my name in 1974 when I was in my high school's production of OUR TOWN and I played Mrs. Soames the town busybody. Dollypop was the director . He started calling me Yenta and so did the rest of the cast. In the finale we had to speak from behind our grave stones. Mine said " Here lies Louella Soames.....The Yenta Of Grovers Corners"I am almost 48 now and Dollypop posts on this board when the "home" allows him to . He exists on strained prunes consumed through a straw and mumbles " I'd like to thank you for this Tony............

Mine is going to sound really dumb. When I registered, I sat here for a good 15 minutes wondering what name I would use. At the time, I was listening to Rachel York's cd. So, I decided I would use "Yorkie" as my board name. The numbers: 12-my younger brother's age and 76-the year my parents got married.

Mine is twofold but the same - if that makes any sense.

Roxy was the name of the theater in NYC which stood @ the corner of 50 th St & 7 th Ave.Where the theater was is now an office building & the outer lobby is now a few fast food restaurants. So much for progress (sic). It was over 6,000 seats & was dubbed "The Cathedral of The Motion Picture" - Opened in 1927 & demolished in 1960

The other part is that it is the name of the guy who built it (& Radio City) Samuel L "Roxy" Rothafel
