I can see where this would have gone from this meaning to meaning cool, hot, etc. BTW, my son hates it when I use youth slang. For instance, he has often used "true dat" to indicate agreement with something. One day he had stopped by our church office for something or other. I'd just replied to an email from the office admin. in which I'd used that phrase. She laughed and showed him my email because he'd just said "true dat" there in the office. I hear his response was something like "Nooooo! My mom can't SAY that!!" lol
