3 guinea pigs (also taking care of a fourth while my brother's girlfriend is studying abroad in Japan)
1 gerbil
fish tank full of african cichlids
I also foster cats. Right now I have a mom cat with 4 kittens that just turned 3 weeks old yesterday.

Posted: 10/10/05 at 7:39pmI have my darling, little, middle-aged yorkie and a fat, lazy but still so cute two year old cat who is white with orange splotches on him. What's really cute is that his chin is orange while the rest of the surrounding area is white, so he looks lik he got into some kind of food.

I work from home, so I only have my dog to talk to all day.
I end up singing this ridiculous song to him constantly (the poor guy!)
(to the tune of I'm a Little Teapot)
I'm a little doggie short and stout
Here is my tail and here is my snout
When I get all worked up here me bark-
Barky barky bark bark bark bark bark.
Or I make up other dumb songs about his snout or tail :)
I also like to sing "How much is that doggie in the window" to him.
This is what happens when you're alone with someone that doesn't talk back all day!!!!

I do the same thing. Except it's to the tune of Kid Rock's "Bawitdaba" (or whatever it's called).
My cousins' and I came up with it a few years ago but I'd rather not repeat the lyrics because it's a touchy subject for my little boy. (i.e. when his little boys were taken away and the nickname that stuck)

Four dogs (Three Welsh Corgis and a Chihuahua.)
Two Guinea Pigs
Four fish
Three horses that I own, one that I lease. Though, they aren't really "pets".

a 16yr old cat that I have had for 15 years. While quite healthy, he's beginning to lose it mentally.....kind of kitty dementia now and then where he forgets where he is, or where I am.
He rarely will let me pet him now for longer than a minute......in his old age he's decided he'd rather bite hands, then have him pet them. If I hide my hands he'll go under covers, whatever to find them.

I have three dogs named Ben, Shooter, and Nicky. Shooter and Nicky are shelties, and Ben is an Australian sheperd. I also have two cats, and their names are Leo and Sophie. We just got Leo on Saturday. He's six months old, and is so CUTE! Sophie is three years old, and can be cute too...but is a diva at times.
Last...I have many fish...and they stink up my mom's room.

You should be happy you got that. I had a plant. Any gathering of more than 4 people in a room constituted a party, and was forbidden by the university.

Aw, beagle!
My cousins had to put their beagle down last week. She was 10 and treated like a member of their family. But so many health problems hit her at once, so they had no other choice. My aunt is devastated especially, even she'll admit that Caramel was her favorite child.

Posted: 10/10/05 at 9:14pmDown to one dog and one cat now. The dog's an adorable German Shepherd-Siberian Huskey mix who is smaller than you'd expect (runt of the litter). The cat (mine) is who-knows, short hair with very dark brown fur. My mom actually called me today (at college) to tell me that our other cat died.
