Oh, yeah, let's see, black & white TV, records, 8-track tapes, NO such thing as a VCR - if you missed a TV show, you missed it. Thinking that the music modern young people listen to is just a bunch of annoying noise and realizing that's what earlier generations thought about Elvis and the Beatles, and "Boogie Woogie" in the '40s, and Jazz in the '20s, and so forth...

When I tell the kids I babysit that I used to love Cabbage Patch Kids, they give me a blank stare.

When Elmo was never on Sesame street

When records were the the newest, coolest way of playing tunes

When I realize that it was possible to live without a cell phone.
People like you are the reason I'm on medication.

When I think of how I used to comb baby powder through my hair if I was playing an older character in a show. Now, I am starting to gray on my own.

My little sister graduating from high school this year.

My friends' siblings that used to be little pains- now they are all grown up!

The kids who were my first class teaching when they were in 4th grade, and are all in high school now.

When I don't want to go out to the bar and drink anymore- I'd rather sit at home and read or watch tv.

Hearing that my friend, who is 6 months older than me, is engaged.

This doesn't make me feel old, but ashamed of my generation: Our waitress at Gunther Toody's, who looked to be about my age, didn't know who Keith Richards is. Or who the Rolling Stones are.

When I look back to when I was five and relizeing that it seemed like only yesterday when I was called 'cute and adorable'

The fact that I am officially not a teen anymore in exactly a week, and that I have been legal (18 where I live) for two years and have been able to drive for 6 years (14 where I live)...sigh...I am VERY happy to be out of my akward teenage years though.

daydreamer, my parents live on Camano Island......so I get up to WA a lot.....what bothers my sister and me, is that the hospital is in Everett......and it's a long way to go when there's a problem

Maybe not old, but more grown up than I ever wanted to be...

Having a credit card.
Checks with my name on them.
The kids I teach asking me why I don't have babies yet.
Getting a summons for jury duty.

My dad will be 60 soon, and my mum's in her fifties...And I'm only 18...

Then again my oldest sister is 15 years older than me...

I used to owned the Nintendo with the robot.
Oh yeah, I was excited when Genesis' game was able to talk.
My younger sister have a master degrees.
My baby sister is going to be a freshman in college soon.

The little girl I used to babysit just got her license, realizing that going out drinking and partying just isn't fun anymore, being called m'am, and kids asking why I don't have kids yet.

Watching MTV and then feeling slightly like a pedofile for thinking people 5 to 10 years younger than me are hot. I finally broke down and switched to VH1.

Mellissa your parents are 60 and look 35? Maybe to other 60 year olds and to their offspring but you can bet your a** not to other 35 year olds.
