Cruel Intentions is the only movie I've ever walked out of because it was bad. (i wallked out of the First X-Men cause i got sick, but that doesn't count).
That's true for me, Tiff. I think I walk out of more movies than I sit through when I'm with a group.
Alas, the woe of living in East Hicksville among mentally emaciated cretins with attention spans of less than twelve seconds...
But Spice World is the only one I walked out on of my own accord. It was just so bad, I couldn't take it.

My Super Ex-Girlfriend. It was horrid, slow, and my brain was melting. I'd hoped for a light comedy spoof...I ended up nearly napping.
Miami Vice. O MI GOSH...I had to wait in the lobby for my friend (who drove) to finish watching it. She loved it. I could not take it one more minute.
Monster House. It wasn't at all what I expected.
And I've fallen asleep during movies before. Here are a few examples:
Vanity Fair. Visually stunning but clocks stopped.
The Year of Living Dangerously.
Rumor Has It.

Okay, wait, aspen, the only reason I didn't mention Spice World is because I absolutely LOVE that movie. LOVE! Watched it on Christmas, even.
(We will NEVER discuss this again.)
Tiff . . . honestly, I did think I was going to like "Miami Vice" because it was not a updated version of the tv show and the trailer made it look really good. GOD WAS I WRONG! People were asleep (including a friend I went with) during the movie. The only thing that kept me awake, was that I was making fun of it the whole time. Like during Collin Ferrel's sex scene, I said out loud, "I could eat this for breakfast, lunch, and f*cking dinner, right here" and had a few people laughing.
Well at least you're well-versed in Colin's superior film classics.

I wish I had walked out of The Holiday tonight. Awful film.
Errr... if it's any consolation, I still bought the soundtrack. And heck yeah the song "Spice World" is hidden under the title "Du Core N'grato" on my iPod.
What's said on this thread stays on this thread.
"Spice World" is hidden under the title "Don't look here, cool music only, PRIVATE" on my iPod.
Italian gogo boys with buttless chaps? Geri Halliwell? Meatloaf?! How can ANYONE hate this movie???
I saw Spice World twice in the theatres
"Spice World" is one of my guilty pleasure movies. I just laugh and laugh every time I watch it.
"How can ANYONE hate this movie???"
Oh, I'll tell you how. Melanie C.
AKA Sporty Spice. That b*tch ruins EVERYTHING!!
I was SO looking forward to the movie but then I had to look at her stupid face with her stupid... eyes and teeth and stuff--and it just ruined the whole experience.
It's the same reason I could barely watch their "Spice World" concert on pay-per-view a few years back. *still fuming*
Me too, neddy. I was trying to watch Scoop but everyone else had My Super Ex-GF on. Looks terrible.
Oh okay, Mel C. That's fair. But the other four were FIERCE! And again! Meatloaf! Buttless chaps!

I turned off Click early.
I almost walked out of Pirates 2 towards the end. I think I made a good desicion to stay because of the ending. Man, now I have to sit through another long two and a half hours when the third one comes out just to see what happens!
I feel the same way, girl. Hopefully Disney will let Elizabeth choose Jack instead of Will. I mean, since the first movie it's clearly what the screenwriters wanted (check out the deleted scenes).
don't diss the pirates :) i reserved a copy four months in advance. but then again, i'm a dork.
i don't think i've ever walked out of a movie before, although i'm sure i might've come close once or twice. in fact, i end up liking a lot of the movies my friends couldn't stand. for example, i happened to love The Omen remake, and i honestly have only found one acquaintance who liked it. and Night at the Museum too. i loved it, and most of my friends thought it was so so.
i also happen to ADORE the LOTR trilogy.. ever single minute of each film. i'm joined by most of the academy of motion picture arts and sciences.
i walked out of a terrible production of Kiss Me Kate once though
I've never walked out of a movie, but I fell asleep during The Brothers Grimm. Even Matt Damon and the gorgeous Heath Ledger couldn't save that movie.
And I still love Spice World. When I was nine, I would watch it every time my cousins came over, and we would always dress up like the Spice Girls for the occasion.

Tiff- I wish I could have watched something else but this airplane didn't have individual TV's, just the big ones every couple of rows, so I couldn't turn it off or anything.
I rented Punch drunk love and then turned it off within the first 10 minutes, man was that boring
I also fell asleep during schindlers list (Ducks at flying fruits)
Movies I wished I walked out on-
Man of the Year (I wanted to see the Departed but NO, my sister wants to see Robin williams)
2Fast 2Furious (Only good thing was looking at Paul Walker, just looking at him, not listening)
And I love Spice World! Nothing but fun campiness! good for a laugh anytime
I confess. I still have the Spice World VHS.
"THE QUEEN is a masterpiece. End of story."
That's your opinion, not a fact, roquat. I'm entitled to mine and I thought it was a stinker. I don't see what all the fuss is about. I hope I won't be saying the same about DREAMGIRLS when I finally do see it. I'm so looking forward to it.
I wish I had walked out on The Family Stone. That movie was such a waste of time.

Two friends and I walked out of Over the Hedge this summer. Despite popcorn and enormous caffeinated soft drinks, all three of us fell asleep within the first 30 minutes. Less than an hour in, we looked at one another, realized we all hated it and bolted the theater.
I sure there are others I've walked out of over the years that I'm forgetting (not to mention dozens of films on video or DVD that I got bored with and started fastforwarding through until it looked more interesting or simply clicked off and rewound before they were finished).
Only film I've ever walked out of was 8mm, starring Nicholas Cage. I was a sophomore in high school when it came out and my friend and I went to see it, thinking that it was some kind of action/adventure film. Turns out the whole thing was about a guy investigating snuff porn flick, which was really gross for our virgin eyes. I'm sure nowadays after all I've seen and done the film wouldn't shock me so much, but I couldn't handle it at age sixteen.
