The Sixth Sense was fantastic.
Unbreakable was a mess.
Signs was passable.
The Village beyond awful. The "twist ending" was his worst yet.
Lady In The Water... no.
This movie looks no better. A one trick pony. shame.

The Village was my favorite film of 2004. Who cares about the "twist"? The film was so much more than that.

That is just a silly comment. The implication is that we don't care about how to spell someone's name based on their ethnicity.
What about Chuck Palahniuk? He's white and his name gets misspelled all the time.
Hell, even Kristen Chenoweth gets misspelled fairly often.
I said that it wasn't about the spelling. If the original poster spelled anything that sounded like Shyamalan, I wouldn't have said anything. San-ja-ya sounds nothing like Shya-ma-lan except that they both have three syllables. I am, however, implying that some people don't care to differentiate people who are in a certain minority group.
I think all Indianish people are kind of the same, which is why Sueleen confused Sanjaya and Shyamalan.
Yes that is probably why, but they are in fact not kind of the same. That's pretty much like saying black people are kind of the same, or gay people are kind of the same.

His best film was The Sixth Sense, with Signs coming up a close second. Unbreakable and Lady In The Water were pretty bad. The Village was terrible and I thought the twist was very predictable.
I actually had hope for this movie because the trailer looked very enticing.

Posted: 6/13/08 at 6:11pmI had thought the Sanjaya/Shyamalan thing was a joke, since both parties are hacks. At least I think Shyamalan is a hack.

Posted: 6/14/08 at 1:24amI really thought that Ms. Victoria Clark gave a brilliant performance as "wife of crazy nursery owner who was actually right and has a love of hot dogs even though they are given a bad rap". I also really enjoyed Ms. Buckley's performance as a window breaking zombie.

The Happening posters are all over Los Angeles, and every time I see one I instinctively think "Shama-lama-lama-lama-yippy-de-boom-de-boom!"
And I don't even like Grease.

"Leave Walt Disney Theatricals new sparkling production of The Little Mermaid on Broadway alone!!!"
