re: What's Your Favorite Dip?

Much prefer Axelrod's Onion Dip to Lipton's. Lipton's was the only kind my mom ever made. When my cousin introduced us to Axelrod's, that was the end of the Lipton's.

My friend makes a wonderful veggie dip, but I don't know what kind it is. I don't think it's Knorrs, but I'm not sure.

This thread is making me so hungry.

I'd have to say that I have a pretty crippling weakness for French Onion dip ... and Spinach dip.
Stop looking at my charisma.

I haven't had clam dip since I was a kid...Mmmm...I need to get me some!

re: What's Your Favorite Dip?

I honestly haven't met a dip I didn't like. Even dips that contain foods I don't like (peppers, avocados, beans) are still favorites. Don't think I can pick just one...

My mom makes this really good spinach dip...if you put a plate of celery and a bowl of that stuff in front of me, consider it digested. re: What's Your Favorite Dip?

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

re: What's Your Favorite Dip?

My mother's best friend when I was growing up was named Betty, and she aways brought this dip with her. It subsequently became known as Betty Dip, and I make it for virtually every gathering.

1 block mexican Velveeta
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3 tablespoons salsa
1 lb ground beef (can be substituted for Morningstar Farms Griddlers)
Best served with Frito scoops

I don't know how you Yankees feel about the velveeta/cream of mushroom soup combo, but here in the South we use it for most everything. Dips, casseroles, cracks in the insulation....
And no one grew into anything new, we just became the worst of what we were."

re: What's Your Favorite Dip?

I make my own dip

I put sour cream, cheddar cheese, and salsa in the microwave until it's smooth (not liquidy).

re: What's Your Favorite Dip?

I'm a big fan of salsa mixed with ranch dressing as a dip.
