What's Your Favorite Disney Movie?

I absolutely love The Little Mermaid...great songs, great characters, great villains, great heroine...I loved Ariel and I loved my little Ariel doll..plus it was the first movie I saw on the big screen. Love it!

Aladdin.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

re: What's Your Favorite Disney Movie?

I would have to say Beauty and the Beast. It was the first ever animated movie nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. Aladin and The Lion Kind are close behind

Aladdin, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Hunchback.
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

re: What's Your Favorite Disney Movie?

Beauty & the Beast. It's been my favorite since it came out. I used to watch it every night when I was little. I love the music and the story, and Belle rocks- she's my favorite Disney character.
I have my books and my poetry to protect me...

re: What's Your Favorite Disney Movie?

Hunchback. By far the best music written for any animated feature! Absolutely brilliant stuff. The way Heaven's Light goes straight into Hellfire. God Help the Outcasts gives me goosebumps every time. And give it up for Paul Kandel and his high D!!!!
Word. Word, indeed.

"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D

re: What's Your Favorite Disney Movie?

Mulan, because she's not helpless and I like the dragon and the grasshopper. I also thought Lilo&Stitch was funny. (The commercials were the best. Did anyone see those ads for it where Stitch is messing up all the classic Disney movies?) Beauty and the Beast was my favorite growing up; I watched it just about everyday.

SLEEPING BEAUTY. To see this in a movie theatre is know what on screen animation should look like, and sadly doesn't anymore.

Gotta love the Disney live action movies of the 70's!

re: What's Your Favorite Disney Movie?

Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, and my friend recently turned me onto Robin Hood. It's so silly, with a rooster narrator and the two leads being foxes. Ahh, it's wonderful. Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast both make me happy because it's all about falling in love without the whole Prince/Princess aspect. The prince didn't know that Aurora was a princess when he fell for her...and Belle certainly didn't know that The Beast was a prince. It's nice. :)

re: What's Your Favorite Disney Movie?

Beauty and the Beast.

I used to wander the house in my Belle costume singing the songs from it. I wanted to be her... still do... maybe some day... i hope. :)
It had the greatest songs and the greatest story ever.

I also did like The Little Mermaid, but not as much. Belle was my hero... she was everything I strived to be when I was little.

re: What's Your Favorite Disney Movie?

I agree with Matt_G on Sleeping Beauty. Also: Beauty and the Beast for Menken/Ashman's work, and Mulan because *finally*, we have a female character whose main longing wasn't to find some prince to rescue her.
