Mine is BIG LOTS--"Brand Names at Closeout Prices."
They have EVERYTHING, from food to clothing, that have been discontinued at EXTREMELY low prices.
I got a SOLID MAHOGANOY desk there for FIFTY dollars (that is NOT a misprint.)
Unfortunately for all you New Yorkers, I believe it is exclusively a Southwestern chain...

I think I made a thread like this a few months back--and the one you wrote on the main board about movies into musicals! Following in my footsteps Mary??
TJ Maxx/Marshalls is my LIFEEEEE.
And there are Big Lots opening in NY--there's one on Long Island.

We have Big Lots in Indiana. Let's see what else, I love Meijer and though I am a college student I can never pass up a trip to Toys R Us.
We also have a store called DEALS! DEALS! DEALS! here where my school is that is like the Dollar store but better.

Posted: 10/28/04 at 6:11pmas much as I've loved living in NY, not a day goes by I don't consider moving somewhere else just to be closer to a TARGET and a COSTCO

Posted: 10/28/04 at 6:15pmny has costco! we always used to go to it when we went to visit family in ny. at the time it was the closest costco... however, it's not in the city. i think it's closer to palisades center or something like that.
#10re: What's Your Favorite Store?
Posted: 10/28/04 at 6:37pmI know there's a COSTCO in one of the outer boros, but I don't have a car in which to transport the items I would buy in bulk. Taking the subway out there and having to be sensible with my purchases would simply hurt too much.

Posted: 10/28/04 at 6:42pmvery good point. not having a car and costco don't mix. very glad the roomies have cars... i can go w/ them to costco and not worry about it.

Posted: 10/28/04 at 7:05pmif I could walk a mile in your shoes, I'd walk to your roomies' car and take it to costco. I'd proceed to buy upwards of 25 lbs of beef product, 3000 AA batteries, and a six-pack of wedding ring. I'd probably keep the shoes too out of spite. but don't take it personally.

New York & Co. Strawbridge & Clothier, Boscov's, Old Navy, Victoria Secert, Bath & Body Works, Salad Works, Canals Liquor, Chick-Fill-A, Boston Market. Yep, I pretty much live at most of these places every week or so!
