Quick question, which is slightly off-topic. Those who have their alarm clocks on their nightstands, how do you not just turn it off and fall back to sleep? Mine has to be all the way across the room in a corner, or else I shut it off.

seriously:
an alarm clock, papers, cell phone, meds, tissue, keys....
hahaha ok allie, i lied... my nightstand is across the room for that purpose
oh believe me the sleep button is my friend!!!!!!
alarm clock, lamp, tissues, pride and prejudice, the five people you meet in heaven, wordsworth, chapstick, a thumbtack, nail clippers, a box shaped like a star, my report card....I don't even know what else.

This is a fun question! Lets see on my side of the bed I have a lamp a doiley (made by my mother in law a small box of truffles (2 left) TV remote and a package of Kleenex. On the shelf below there are 3 books Mists of Avalon. The Da Vinci Code and In This Theatre.
On my husbands side a matching lamp and doiley (my mother in law knits and chrochets like a demon!) and an alarm clock.

I don't have enough room to have a nightstand... well, a conventional one.
My roommate and I decided that I could use our refrigerator/ freezer/ microwave as a nightstand. That said, there is an alarm clock, gum, chapstick, elastic, eye mask, flashlight, and apple on my microwave.

I still have trouble getting up, and I have to trip over a bunch of stuff (placed there on purpose, for this very reason!) to shut off my alarm... Frustrating!!

My Alarm is across the room on top of the tv so I have to get up. But I still hit the magical snooze button. I used to have it on the nightstand until one morning when I pulled it outta the wall and threw it across the room. Realized that my violent streak is at its worst when i'm awakened from my sleep.
Lets see, on my nightstand top: room phone, cell phone, vitamin c, Making it on Broadway, some pins and a notebook, 2 remotes, a lamp, a coaster, and some chapstik.

One side has a lamp, alarm clock, a rebuilt white princess phone WITH A DIAL!, a crystal egg, a crystal tissue box (which currently has NO tissues in it) and a pen.
The other side also has a lamp, 3 remote controls, the Wicked novel, "A Theatregoer's Guide to Shakespeare", a change cup, and a little jewelry box with .... stuff... in it.
-A Lamp
-alarm clock (which i don't even use)
-LOTS of pictures of my friends
-Little animal bobble-heads (I dunno, i'm weird, but they're cute!)
-Some jewlery,
-my tv remote (which suprisingly,i can actually find for once!)
me?? i have a teeny night stand, so I have a really ugly lamp, my alarm clock that is still blinking because I unplugged it a few weeks ago and never reset the time, a bracelet made of marble from ireland, my glasses, retainer (ick), various hair ties, a pack of gum, and a book.
