re: What's on your nightstand?

an alarm clock which i am surprised isn't broken yet, a bowl with a bunch of crap and some random cd's.
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

re: What's on your nightstand?

This is kind of a fun question!

I have a big long nightstand, so there's lots on there:
box of Kleenex, Blistex, hand lotion, a pile of magazines, a teddy bear, about 4 remote controls, a notebook.

Indeed they are. My little brother bought me one yesterday called The Best of Old Broadway. I love that kid.

3 coffee table books (Shubert's Present 100 Years of Theatre, A Day At The New Amsterdam Theatre, and a Van Gogh book with almost all his paintings in it), my Aida autographed scarf (used in My Strongest Suit) that I put in a display box, an alarm clock, and a small cd player.

a fan, a lamp, my laptop, speakers for my laptop, lotion, a phone, and my cell phone charger. (it's more of a little table by my bed than a nightstand)

re: What's on your nightstand?

A humidifier, a framed picture of me with Raúl Esparza, my journal, an alarm clock, my book of The Normal Heart and The Destiny of Me, and my copy of The Berlin Stories signed by a whole bunch of Cabaret folk. Also a scrap of paper that has the chorus of Astonishing written out.

re: What's on your nightstand?

I can't leave anything on my nightstand - my cat will knock it off or try to eat it. I have to put my glasses in the drawer or he will chew on them.

re: What's on your nightstand?

My 2 alarm clocks, a cheetah-print light, my rhyming dictionary, thesaurus, dictionary, a notebook, pens and pencils, whatever book I'm currently reading, and quite a few scrunchies.
I have my books and my poetry to protect me...
