I'm just going to echo the smaller portions comment that a couple of others have made. I've lost some weight at school (go figure, since most people usually put on a few lbs at school) and I think a lot of that has to do w/ the fact that I'm eating smaller portions. I'm eating a lot of the same food I'd eat at school (usually a bowl of cereal or yogurt for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, and a piece of chicken, some rice, and two different veggies for dinner) that I would usually eat when I was living at home. The main difference is that I'm eating smaller portions (much closer to what the recommended portion sizes probably are) since I'm a strapped for cash/short on time college student. I'll get a package of chicken breasts and cook it at the beginning of the week and that, along w/ a box of rice, a head of broccoli, and a lb of carrots will last for most of the week. Sure, it totally gets old after a while, but I've slimmed down quite a bit w/ this routine.
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)
