My name's not Sally. As a kid I was that gawky girl that would hang around the stage door eager to tell a performer I thought he/she was great, especially a more minor character/performer that others would ignore but stood out to me.
An actor I got to know over the course of several shows said "Well, I guess you're not a Stage Door Johnny, you're my Stage Door Sally."

Posted: 8/29/13 at 9:50pmBest12bars...great story. StockardFan, I really thought you chose that name because you were a big fan of Stockard Channing. How did a sweet and nice person like yourself, get banned from another site? Details! My username is dull. My first name is Art and a coworker used to always call me ArtMan.

My username was actually from a drama student from high school 3 years ago because she was shocked because of how much I know about certain musicals which she had no idea existed.

Mine is beyond dull. 67 as in 1967 (year of the summer of love in Haight-Ashbury. Flower Child is fairly self-explanatory, especially with the explanation of 67:P
It was pretty awesome reading all of your stories behind your username! :)

I was listening to the first disc of the Ragtime OBC when I signed up and when I reached the point of picking a username I just drew a blank. Then I heard
Little Boy: What is your name?
Little Girl: No name.
So I typed that in and ended up with a lame name.

That's impossible. Everyone has a screenname.
Even the little Negro baby who lives in our attic.
She's SarahWalker14.

growl... great response!
Nate... maybe grab a copy of today's AM New York, take a picture of yourself with it and update your picture to prove it is you and not a swiped image off google with a new screenname?
My name is not creative....it is my real name, the zip code of my town and state.

Posted: 8/30/13 at 8:15amMy EX kept annoying me to join this site stating that "you'll LOVE it!" He finally sat me in front of the computer and made me type a username. For some reason I thought they'd reject the word boobs and he'd leave me alone. Lo and behold it was accepted and I couldn't change it. At least he was right about me loving this site. Who knew it would introduce me to some wonderful people who are now life long friends.

A hundred years ago I had a coming-out romance with a guy who specialized in guys coming out. I was sure it would last forever . . . we'd have a matchbox of our own, a fence of real chain-link, plastic on the furniture yada yada yada.
He dumped me after three weeks and moved on to the next newbie.
My friend and fairy godmother attempted to pry me off the floor (where I had decided to spend the rest of my life) by reminding me that I typically found something positive in every shi!ty situation. He said something like, "You weave gold when life gives you straw." and I responded "yeah, but no one wants to date Rumpelstilskin" (although through my tears and snot it sounded more like "Humsblnsndin").
The name stuck.

I clearly chose my name without thinking about it. I signed up for the old Broadway.com message board, not knowing at the time how much I would use it. So I really didn't put any thought into it.
I've wanted to change it a million times but don't want to have to create a new account.

#43What was the inspiration behind choosing your username?
Posted: 8/30/13 at 1:07pmI agree. There comes a point where you just have to stop caring what the" Pick a little talk a little" queens say, and just move on. I have, but clearly some haven't. Thank god for that ignore button :)

Posted: 8/30/13 at 1:20pmLol some of the accusations they come up with are side splitting. For example: They claim I am this "chi chi" person, when I just saw a poster by the name of Chi Chi post a couple days ago. HAHA.
