Namo - That is my favorite of the trilogy!

Of the two, probably Brokeback Mountain.

But my first choice would be Beautiful Thing.

Sorded Lives

It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956

Brokeback Mountain for me. If I could pick any one, I'd go for an old film called SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE. Just because I've always wanted to see it, and haven't.

Boobs, I just looked that one up. Never saw it, but I met one of the people who is in it, Rick Donovan, about 4 years ago, in Palms Springs. I've never seen him in anything, so perhaps I'll check this one out.

Yeah, THAT'S why you wanna touch him, RobbO. Sure.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Yes. Is he that special? He was a bit rough-looking to me. I was introduced to him at a gathering at someone's home, and was told by that someone that he used to make porn films. Must check him out.

Not sure if this was already posted or merits its own thread (feel free to start one if you want), but here's a rather provocative article from the last Sunday's Times about straight actors taking on gay roles and the impact it has:
The Winner Is. . . Only Acting Gay

Of those two, Brokeback Mountain.

Of the entire canon, Happy Heights -- because seeing that again would effectively erase the idea that watching a gay-themed movie is a worthwhile way to spend my time at all.

from that article: "Mr. Ledger's character, Ennis Del Mar, is the taciturn guy, the one who tucks in his chin and mumbles the few words he speaks, who is so uncomfortable with his own sexual desires and so angry at himself for feeling them that he sometimes doesn't know whether he wants to kiss Jack or punch him. "

gee, vinnie, is it any wonder WHY you would be more attracted to the heath character?!?

You SOB!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah...I have a past...We all do! But I swear I never knew that about the character! It was purely a visual thing that I have had with Heath over the last several years that made me say that.

Of the two, BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (no contest).

Overall, I'd say my first gay-themed movie, ANOTHER COUNTRY. It still gets me.
