ashley - allentown in definitely in 42nd street.
not from a musical, but everybody knows it -- vermont has "moonlight in vermont"
and ohio has a bunch of mentions in TL5Y as well as in wonderful town ("why oh why oh why oh.....")

Yes, it's in 42nd Street, Sporti, but it's also mentioned in "Spanish Rose" from Bye Bye Birdie.
I know there's a song called "Off to Massachusetts" in Little Women, too...but I don't really know what it's about.

The show "Sundown" has a song called Arizona Morning
I'm guessing Good Vibrations probably included California Girls - but do we want to count that?
1776 talks about Pennsylvania, Virginia, New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut in song -- any others that I missed?
Parade mentions Georgia several times
I forget if it's Idaho or Iowa, but I'm sure one of those midwest states is mentioned in Of Thee I Sing, right?
Is Maine mentioned in that awful Clambake song in Carousel at all? I never get through it to actually listen closely enough...
In Big, Billy mentions that he's just a "white Polish boy from Jersey"
Ohio from Wonderful Town (someone said that I think)

Rhode Island has a song on an episode of Family Guy... I know it's not quite the same, but "The Road to Rhode Island" is still an excellent song.

Of Thee I Sing MENTIONS several states (as in the Senators), but I don't think there's a song ABOUT any of them. It even mentions the senator from Alaska, which is funny since Alaska wasn't a state yet.
There's an old song (I can't remember what it's from), but it's something about "Rhode Island is Famous for You," and it mentions a lot of states (I can specifically remember Idaho, New Jersey, Arizona, and West Virginia).
