Hi, Shira! My day today's OK so far, but last night I actually got kicked in the shin (accidentally, of course) by one of the actors in the show...RIGHT before the lights came up on Act 2! I ended up crying through my first 5 or 6 lines of dialogue. Couldn't help it. He was just kidding around, doing goofy dance moves, and he kind of leapt right into my shin. I have a GIANT bruise, and it hurts like a mofo. :-P
Anyway, I have an audition in a couple of hours...wish me luck! (I really need those vibes, since I didn't get the last one, and I need to line up a summer gig!!)
Ouch, Erika!
Break a leg at the audition!

Thanks, guys!
Shira: Yeah, it's definitely an "ouch." He even broke the skin!
Ow ow ow. Get some ice, Erika.
Thanks Tink.

Erika, I broke a dancer's foot in West Side Story 20 years ago!
Hope you feel better. Mrs. Brd has a national commercial audition, but there is a better chance at winning the lottery. Hundreds of women audition.
MT, thanks, I will stick with DC. (until 5:00).

Yeah, I iced it last night, and then I put Arnica on it to try and reduce the bruising. But my leg still looks pretty gross for the audition. (Wearing a cute sundress, and one never wears hose anymore!!) Oh, well.
Tell them it shows you true dedication to the arts. You were willing to prop up an entire set with your one leg, just so the show could go on!

Tink: HA! Good one!
Brd: VIBES to Mrs. Brd!
OK, off to Long Beach...
Hope all went well Erika.
Went out to dinner with my bro, which was very nice. Back home now.
That does sound nice Shira!
I'm contemplating seeing a matinee on Weds before the BB Kings show. I would, but I don't want that much down time between the two shows.
Nice, Tink. I'd join you for a matinee, but alas, I have work.
yeah, that work stuff stinks!
Yeah. Aside from the whole "Boo, no matinee" stuff, I do love my job.
That's good! Are you able to go back after the summer?
I can't imagine why not.
That's cool! I guess I should start looking for a new job, but I'll probably wait until after the cruise!
LOL. Good choice Tink.
I've been in such a funk lately. I hope Wed night kind of snaps myself out of it by removing myself from the situation for a little bit. who knows.
Always a good plan.
